Chapter 1826: Long Live the Alliance

The Paladins who rushed into the enemy lines had now pulled away their long weapons and were slowly turning back.
They stood in a line with their spears. The silence was frightening, and made all the Horde players lose their fighting spirit.
“Paladins, Charge!”
The slogan was once again repeated as the black-clad Paladins rushed forwards.
The silence was necessary, not just as a psychological tactic, but to make time for their skills to be refreshed. If the Night Watchmen Corp’s warhorses didn’t have cooldowns, then they really would be invincible.
With a group of Paladins charging at them, the Horde players had no chance of running away.
The ordinary players had no choice but summon their mounts to escape, but this could only be done when they were out of battle. These Paladins were obviously well-trained enough to prevent that from happening, so the Horde players had to try to run away on foot.
Sky Moon soon arrived and took part in the fight.
Since their Boss was also joining the fray, how could they sit idly by? The hundreds of Paladins crushed the players as they fought even more vigorously.
Water Fairy would remember this day many years later as the day when she was the most embarrassed and angry. However, Lu Li had used his Paladin army to save her and held her in his arms.
“Get rid of the Glory Capital players that are here too,” Water Fairy said hatefully.
Everyone had their own system of intelligence, and Drizzle Court was not an exception. After the incident, they immediately assessed the Horde players who had appeared and concluded that they definitely had ties to Glory Capital.
One shouldn’t assume that Glory Capital’s top management was watertight just because Sorrowless was a proud person.
The people who were really responsible for these kinds of events were usually not ordinary people.
“They are fighting Blood Red War Flag. Let’s go pressure them!” Lu Li yelled at Water Fairy as he rushed to Brokeback Mountain with the Paladins.
Brokeback Mountain was a place in the Hellfire Peninsula. It was probably a tribute to an ancient movie.
There were thousands of players killing each other there. There were players from Blood Red War Flag on the one side and players from Glory Capital on the other.
In terms of overall strength, Glory Capital dominated the gaming circle and Blood Red War Flag was simply incomparable. However, if you simply compared their PVP strength, Blood Red War Flag was a strong contender. They didn’t know what they were fighting over today, but it was a decisive battle.
White Westhill had to be mentally prepared to withstand Jade Flower Lover’s offence.
There were many reasons for the difficulty in doing so, but one of them was that Glory Capital had prioritised getting PVE players into the Outland while Blood Red War Flag had sent their PVP players.
PVP players weren’t interested in doing Instance Dungeons or quests, their main consumption of gaming content was through levelling and PVP.
“The left flank is being pressed. Has Wendelian arrived yet?” White Westhill asked, sounding anxious, as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.
As a commander, she was just a little less competent than Jade Flower Lover. However, Wendelian was an even better commander than the both of them. She intended to pass on all her responsibilities as soon as he arrived.
“You will have to wait a little longer, but the Boss has arrived,” one of the underlings answered.
“Hey, the Boss is online! That was quick.”
Sorrowless had gone to Jiangnan City for what he described as official business. In fact, everyone knew that he had gone to find Darkness because he was eating food behind closed doors.
Most people didn’t really talk about it. The atmosphere between Glory Capital and Ruling Sword was quite different.
Sorrowless was an authority, so no one except his old friend White Westhill dared to publicly ridicule him. Even White Westhill ensured that her underlings continued to respect him.
However, Ruling Sword was different. Azure Sea Breeze constantly wished the worst for Lu Li, while Remnant Dream and Hachi Chan weren’t afraid of him at all. Those who once did revere Lu Li, like Fat Monkey or Cain’s Left Hand, were now happy to insult him as well.
Insulting Lu Li was a normal thing to do among the members of Ruling Sword. Even the low-level players would do it.
“What is that sound?”
White Westhill was observing the battlefield when she heard a faint rumbling. The sound was far away in the distance but getting closer. She hurried to the back of the mountain to see a group of black-clad Paladins rushing towards them.
“Hey, what’s that?” someone behind her asked.
“That is the Paladin Legion, Ruling Sword’s Paladin legion,” White Westhill said after she finally worked it out, then shouted, “Get ready to defend! We have a large number of enemies approaching from the southwest. Get the Warriors and Paladins to the front.”
They were already struggling against Blood Red War Flag, so a fight with Ruling Sword was not going to go well.
Those damned Paladins should be saving Water Fairy – why were they here? White Westhill didn’t know that the players looking for Water Fairy had already been wiped out by them.
According to her estimates, Water Fairy being attacked should have been the most important event for them today.
She thought that the battle over there between the Alliance and The Horde would result in a deadlock as a bunch of random people would also want to join the fun. Even if the Paladin army joined in, they would have to fight a thousand Horde players. It should have been impossible for them to get here.
Unfortunately, she had underestimated these Paladins.
These Paladins from the Night Watchmen were not only known for their horseback fighting but also their extraordinary mobility.
If they wanted to pursue someone, there was no one who could stop them.
White Westhill was a veteran commander, and was generally able to tell good strategies from bad ones, but she had still underestimated Ruling Sword’s Paladin Legion.
“Paladins, Charge!”
Drifting Rain took 800 Paladins and, according to Lu Li’s command, cut into Glory Capital’s defensive line. They easily tore through the large crowd of players.
Glory Capital’s originally stable formation was quickly overwhelmed. The Mages and healers were a particular focus for the Paladins and were easily defeated by them.
“Is that a friend or a foe?!” Jade Flower Lover asked aloud.
As Ruling Sword’s Paladin army cut into the battlefield, it wasn’t just Glory Capital who was nervous but Blood Red War Flag too. If Ruling Sword focused on fighting Blood Red War Flag, they would face significant losses.
“Long live the Alliance!” Ruling Sword’s Paladins shouted in unison.
The people of Blood Red War Flag were relieved as they responded in kind.
“Long live the Alliance!”
Jade Flower Lover had an excellent commanding ability in field battles. He immediately adjusted his battlelines to complement the legion and frantically began to kill the Glory Capital players.
