Too evil!
Everyone else watched as the rats flooded over Azure Sea Breeze. They could feel cold sweat drip down their foreheads.
After they thought about the whole event, even the simple-minded Remnant Dream knew that Azure Sea Breeze had been baited, and the one who had baited him was the innocent-looking Lu Li.
The girls took a few steps backward; they didn't like rats and even the guys looked uneasy.
They warned themselves not to cross Lu Li in the future. Clearly, he had known what awaited them beyond the doors; he was simply too evil.
At first, Azure Sea Breeze wasn't concerned about these seemingly harmless rats, but he soon figured out that he was wrong.
"Dammit, what are you all looking at? Come and save me!"
It was true that the rats had low damage, but they had incredibly fast Attack speed and were swarming over him. Even after he used his damage reduction, he couldn't stop his health from rapidly dropping. His HP bar was almost about to drop below the alert line.
He had punished Azure Sea Breeze enough and didn't want him to actually die, so he dragged open the door and asked Lonesome Flower to cast a group spell.
"Flower, use a Blizzard."
Lonesome Flower nodded his head coolly and casted a Blizzard in Azure Sea Breeze's location.
The way in which the rats packed themselves tightly together left them vulnerable to group spells. They quickly gave up on Azure Sea Breeze and began to charge towards their new target.
Unfortunately for them, Azure Sea Breeze used a Trample which stunned them all.
Within a dozen seconds, all of the rats had turned into corpses on the ground. Poor Azure Sea Breeze was riddled with bite marks and he stared at Lu Li with bitterness in his eyes. He couldn't believe that he had stooped so low as to being used as rat-bait.
"Hmph, I didn't think there would be danger. Luckily, you're still safe Breezy," Lu Li mumbled, then turned his face away awkwardly as he continued to spew nonsense.
"You…" Azure Sea Breeze was speechless.
"Nobody knows what's ahead. Breezy, be careful when you initiate, just in case you die," Lu Li said carefully.
"He'll probably die to you," Wandering quipped as he rolled his eyes. "Are you guys still going? If we're still going ,then hurry up."
Azure Sea Breeze continued to initiate monsters, but this time, he was more cautious. Although their clearing speed decreased, they were taking less risks.
The dungeon often dropped Scourgestones, which could be exchanged for Reputation with the Light's Hope Chapel.
These days, Reputation had begun to become more and more important to players, so this was quite a precious item. Unfortunately, it could not be traded, so there was no opportunity for making money.
Ever since he reincarnated, Lu Li no longer had to worry about finding sources of income.
He planned to use all of his Scourgestones in exchange for Reputation. His empowerment skills would cost him a lot in the future.
"Breezy, go and break those two boxes on the side," Lu Li said as he patted Azure Sea Breeze's shoulder and pointed to the two broken wooden boxes on the corner of the road.
"Oh… no. Are you going to bait me again?" Azure Sea Breeze questioned as he stared at his heartless commander. He understood the bigger picture now – it was because he didn't listen to his instructions that he was pushed into a hive of rats.
"What are you on about? When have I ever baited you?" Lu Li shot back with a face of indignation. He would never admit to it.
"Then you go and step on it and I'll see." Azure Sea Breeze wasn't so easy to fool.
"Ai, people these days. Why are their minds so dirty?" Lu Li sighed as if he couldn't understand, then walked straight over and broke the two boxes.
One of the boxes gave him a magic potion and the other gave him Stratholme Holy Water. Lu Li waved the loot in his hands and gave Azure Sea Breeze a look of disgust. The others also let out a breath of relief; these boxes were often a nest for cockroaches. However, he had opened them twice now and hadn't yet run into them. Perhaps he was just too lucky.
Instantly, Azure Sea Breeze felt guilty.
He took over the bottle from Lu Li and drank it without looking at the description.
Fortunately, Lu Li wasn't planning on baiting him this time. He gave him the Stratholme Holy Water and passed Lonesome Flower the Magic potion.
The Stratholme potion increased the user's damage to Undead units, along with the aggression that they would take. The other effect that it had was that it repelled insects.
However, Lu Li didn't tell Azure Sea Breeze this, because if the insects avoided him, this would mean trouble for everyone else.
All along the way, it was smooth sailing, and they soon saw their first mailbox.
Players who entered this dungeon for the first time wouldn't have noticed these mailboxes. The Undead didn't require such civilized things.
Perhaps it was because of curiosity, but some attempted to open these mailboxes. If you did so, there was a high possibility of dying to the postman that would attack you soon after.
If anyone accidentally opened a mailbox during a battle, then the extra monsters that appeared could wipe out an entire team.
After defeating a wave of monsters, Lu Li went up to open the mailbox.
Of course, it wasn't possible to open one with specific keys, but the postmen that immediately appeared distracted everyone. Azure Sea Breeze roared and drew all of the monsters to him while the others immediately attacked.
"Remnant Dream, check the bodies," Lu Li said..
There were six mailboxes in Stratholme, and if three keys were gathered, they could summon the Malone – a hidden boss that dropped excellent loot.
Remnant Dream didn't disappoint – she had managed to find a key.
