The Great Thief Chapter 1585 - The Hexxer Jin’do

Chapter 1585: The Hexxer Jin’do

Jin’do was the leader of the Hakkari tribe, and Hakkar’s absolute supporter. After continuing to work hard in the Atal Hakkar temple, he continued to carry out Hakkar’s schemes, and succeeded in the process.
Of course, Lu Li and Hachi Chan were his evil accomplices.
“Do you think he still remembers us?” Hachi Chan asked, feeling very dispirited, as well as a bit angry. After all, Jin’do had reincarnated into Yeh’kinya and bullied her.
“Probably not. Anyway, this should be a piece of cake,” Lu Li said dismissively, waving away the question.
Actually, Lu Li knew Jin’do’s true power better than anyone. Especially in earlier patches, everyone knew that Jin’do was Hakkar’s supporter. However, in the Instance Dungeon, everyone realised without needing to say anything that Jin’do was more than just a little greater than Hakkar.
There was a whole other level to this Boss.
“Friends, welcome to this great feast. Come, let’s party! Party ’til we die!”
These were Jin’do’s opening remarks. He evidently didn’t recognise Lu Li and Hachi Chan.
The Yeh’kinya who had dealt with Lu Li and Hachi Chan before was cunning, had deep thoughts and was extremely intelligent, but the Jin’do in front of them was a conventional Boss running an Instance Dungeon. Who knew where the real Jin’do was hiding?
“Well then, I’ll go up.”
As soon as Azure Sea Breeze heard that Lu Li say he was a piece of cake, he was filled with courage.
“Wait a second. Clean up around the sides first. Why do you have to be so rash? No one’s fighting with you,” Lu Li said, commanding everyone to finish off the smaller monsters around the area first. After all, Jin’do was up there happily reciting his lines. That long string of words was all about the former glory of the Trolls.
The Trolls really were glorious in the past; this wasn’t made up.
The earliest known Trolls were Zandalari Trolls, and all the other Troll tribes were descended from them. The Zandalari valued knowledge the most, but in the tribe, there were still sizable groups of members who thirsted for fighting and conquering. These trolls who had rebellious natures eventually broke off and established their own tribes.
As time passed, the remaining members of the Zandalari tribe were respected as priests with the highest position among all the other Trolls.
The Zandalari tirelessly recorded and protected the Trolls’ history and traditional customs. These wise trolls continuously pushed for a reunification of Troll society. Although the Zandalari were highly respected by others, schisms between their political views continued to exist.
About 16,000 years ago, Trolls ruled over most of the territory of Kalimdor. From the Trolls that split from the Zandalari, two empires were formed – namely, the Gurubashi Empire in the south-east forest, and the Amani Empire in the centre.
Relations between the Gurubashi Empire and the Amani Empire definitely weren’t the most friendly, but they didn’t often fight either.
At that time, their common enemy was the empire of a different tribe – the Azj’Aqir civilisation. The Aqir was a type of intelligent insect and mainly controlled the western area. These intelligent insects had a strong desire for expansion, and what was more, they were viciously evil. The Aqirs’ aim was to eradicate all life on Kalimdor that weren’t insects.
The Trolls had been at war with them for thousands of years, but they never had an overwhelming advantage against the Aqir.
In the end, because of the relentless attacks from the Trolls, the Aqir empire divided into two. Its subjects escaped over to the faraway lands to the north and south of the mainland and settled there, continuing to live out a feeble existence. There, two Aqir cities sprung out. They established Arj Nira, a city in the northern wasteland, and Ahn’Qiraj in the southern desert.
Although the Trolls thought that there were still other Aqir insects living on the Kalimdor mainland, this view had not been confirmed.
With the chasing away of the insects, the two troll empires resumed their original states. Although they had won a massive victory, neither empire had undergone a massive expansion.
Taking advantage of this time, the Night Elves developed in the area around the Well of Eternity. The Trolls really couldn’t be bothered to try to expand into their land, so the Night Elves established a powerful empire, expanding on the Kalimdor mainland too. They used magic that the Trolls would never have imagined. The Night Elves’ rise to prominence quickly threatened the two largest empires in this world.
The Night Elves systematically destroyed the Trolls defenses and their aid systems. The Trolls had no way to resist the Night Elves’ annihilating magic, so there was nothing they could do in the face of impending disaster.
In the following years, the Gurubashi and Amani empires broke apart, and the frightening speed at which the Night Elves took victory brought about an eternal hatred from the Trolls towards them. One could imagine that if they had a choice, Yeh’kinya would definitely not think of working with Lu Li and Hachi Chan. However, because of the big picture, he was able to overlook it.
Afterwards, when the Burning Legion invaded, the Night Elves were swallowed up by the magic fire that they were trying to use to control.
Their uncontrolled use of magic had invited the Burning Legion, who wrecked most of the Night Elves’ civilisation. Although there were no sources to say that the Burning Legion also attacked the Trolls’ civilisations, it seemed as if the whole continent was engulfed in war.
At the very end of the frightful war, the Well of Eternity exploded. This explosion caused a quake that tore apart Kalimdor, which resulted in the middle of the continent falling into the sea.
Most of the land of the Amani and Gurubashi empires was still divided, evident in today’s Quel’Thalas and Stranglethorn Vale.
Many centuries after this massive natural disaster, the whole tribe of Trolls lived in extremely difficult circumstances. However, they rebuilt their ruined city, reclaiming their former glory with their own hands. Because they were like this, hunger and fear were nothing out of the ordinary. The Jungle Trolls went all out to find their ancient strength to help them. Although the two Troll empires both worshipped the same ancient gods, Gurubashi was governed by the darkest gods and spirits.
Hakkar the Spirit Reaper responded to their pleas. Hakkar gave the secret of his blood to the Gurubashi and even helped them extend their territory to most of the land of Strangethorn Vale, as well as the islands in Southshore.
Although he gave the Jungle trolls great strength, as payment, this bloodthirsty god required spirits as sacrifices.
His demands grew higher and higher, and grew more and more impatient with their pious priests. He wanted them to find a way to bring him into the material world. That way, he could directly absorb those blood sacrifices. His wild ambitions grew grander, and he even wanted to swallow up all the spirits of the world.
Most of the Hakkari priests had begun to grow suspicious at his greedy appetite, as well as being fearful for the future. If they kept on going like this, offering up unlimited spirits, his power would reach uncertain heights. After he came to the world, just how much destruction would he be capable of?
However, the Hakkari Priests were still the ones to make decisions carefully based on all Hakkar said.
This was before the Atal’ai Trolls were successful in summoning Hakkar. All the other Jungle Trolls, including Hakkari trolls, rose up in great numbers against this cruel deity.
Because they were able to foresee the fatal threat that Hakkar posed to the whole world, even the Zandalari were caught up in this war. The magic that burst out in this war shattered Zul’Gurub.
When the war had entered into the stage of hopelessness, the Trolls successfully destroyed Hakkar’s reincarnation.
The Atal’ai Trolls were chased out of the jungle, and were also stamped out. Only a small group of members escaped into a sad swamp, but it was there that they secretly built a grand temple to their god – the Atal Hakkar temple.
Because they opposed the fanatic Atal’ai trolls, the Hakkari trolls hoped that they would be able to escape punishment. However, they quickly realised that that was just wishful thinking. After the Atal’ai were crushed and wiped out, the Jungle Trolls were likewise dealt with.
Many former priests were tortured and beaten before being publicly executed. Others were torn to pieces by a rebellious people.
The most fortunate Hakkari trolls only had all of their assets taken and were exiled from Zul’Gurub.
They were warned that if they tried to return, the price would be death.
Under extreme hardship and hopelessness, the surviving Hakkari had no choice but to make a frightful decision. They chose to join their former enemy – the Atal’ai, and became willing to help them summon Hakkar to this earth.
From understanding the great suffering that the Hakkari trolls endured, the Atal’ai Trolls believed that they had a change of heart, and therefore admitted them into the temple.
Here, the Atal’ai and Hakkari trolls continued their work.
Their protector god was a dragon. Their illusionary king, the green dragon Ysera, quickly understood the evil plans of the priests, and sank the temple into the swamp. To this day, the ruins of the temple were still guarded by the Green Dragonflight.
The power of the Gurubashi empire’s remnants began to part ways. This arose from different groups each trying to claim sovereignty over large parts of Stranglethorn Vale. These separate groups began to launch campaigns against each other. After the end of a long war, the smallest tribe – the Darkspear tribe – had been driven out of the mainland. In order to avoid more conflict, they settled down on a remote, overgrown little island.
These ancient wars and earth-shattering events all happened because of the Night Elves’ abuse of Arcane magic. However, the highest class of Night Elves, the High Elves, had completely renounced Arcane magic.
The result was that they were banished from Kalimdor. They crossed great oceans and climbed over the land of Lordaeron. The exiles changed their names, and called themselves Advanced Elves.
In the process of heading inland, the Advanced Elves underwent bloody conflicts with the Forest Trolls, who controlled the entire northern part of the continent. In the end, these weary Elves arrived at a piece of land which was familiar to them, like the forested Kalimdor. After The trolls living there had been driven away, the Advanced Elves established the Qual’Thalas kingdom.
The Elf Mages carved a set of magic runestones at the boundaries of Qual’Thalas. These runestones could not only hide the magic of the Elves, protecting them from damage from the outside, but they also protected against invasion of the kingdom, as well as stopping those superstitious Troll commanders for quite a while.
The unrest in Qual’Thalas continued for about 4000 years, until one day, the Jungle trolls gathered together for a military campaign, aimed at completely erasing these Elf invaders. Buckling under the great disparity in the forces, king Anasterian Sunstrider hopelessly searched for any saving power in the midst of this disaster. In the end, they signed an alliance with the human country of Arathor.
The Eelves began to teach a small group of humans how to use magic. With these new Mages, as well as with the help of Arathor’s forces, the Elves were finally able to crush the numerous military bases of the Trolls. From this, the Amani empire found it difficult to ever recover its strength.
The two Trolls split and the race went into decline.
The only tribe that could establish themselves on the continent was actually the Darkspear tribe, under the leadership of Zujin.
At the start of the second war, the Elves joined midway and even helped the Lordaeron alliance. The war’s commander, Orgrim Doomhammer, hoped that the Forest Trolls would join the Horde. Doomhammer made a promise to the Forest Trolls. If they entered the Horde, the Horde would help them defeat the Elves, and even help them re-establish their Amani Empire.
In the beginning, the Forest trolls leader, Zujin, refused this attractive agreement.
As the famous hero of the Armani Horde, Zujin, with his highly proficient skills that brought him great admiration, was obeyed by all the Forest Trolls.
Although the Forest Trolls were definitely convinced about the war with the Night Elves, Zujin was still suspicious about the Horde’s intentions. Not long after, Zujin and his henchmen were, to their misfortune, captured by people. After the Horde freed them, Zujin changed his mind, and joined the Horde to form a mutual alliance. In the name of the alliance, some of the Forest Trolls entered the battle.
Not along after, the Horde had pushed the battleline back to the border of Quel’Thalas, and what was more, they shamelessly slaughtered the Night Elves. When facing this sought of inevitable slaughter, the Elves threw all of their resources into this battle.
When the Horde was being repelled, the Orcs and other alliance nations had already accomplished their goal – to steal away many of the runestones that the Advanced Elves had created to protect their border. The Warlock Gul’dan used these stolen rocks to build up Stormwind Altar.
However, the second war ended in victory for the Alliance. Right after these numerous battles, Azeroth had taken in a lot of Orcs who were shut away in captivity. Because of the crushing defeat of war, many Forest Trolls didn’t carry out their final promise to the Orcs and expressed their anger. Without any hesitation at all, they left the Orcs, who once shared the same military camps as them.
Until Saar established the new Horde later, the trolls on the continent again had their own renewed authority back.
Of course, in Jin’do’s mouth, the story was a different version. At the very least, he looked down on his Darkspear brothers, feeling that they had already forgotten their ancestors’ glory.
After he had finished with the nonsense and the smaller monsters were dealt with, the real battle finally started.
Jin’do was said to be a piece of cake, but that was just to put Azure Sea Breeze at ease.
“Start the battle!” Azure Sea Breeze shouted, rushing towards the Boss.
He was an extremely competent Main Tank. No matter how tired or troubled he was, at the start of the battle, he was always able to prepare himself. Others couldn’t resist to follow along with his enthusiasm.
