Chapter 1706: Working Together
“Water Fairy is at fault – 5 points deducted!”
Since she had admitted her errors, Sky Moon wasn’t going to go easy on her.
Now, everyone bucked themselves up. They were even more focused than when Lu Li was commanding, because they realised how ruthless Sky Moon was. He had even dared to take points off Water Fairy, and 5 points too!
Five points was the upper limit for those who made more than one mistake. Under normal circumstances, two points were enough to make someone wince.
People were probably not that worried when Lu Li’s points were deducted. After all, Lu LI was the type of person who would even take his own points off if he was being ruthless. Plus, they would be taken off more than once. However, Water Fairy’s points were rarely deducted by him. Even if it really couldn’t be justified, he would just take off one point.
He was the boss here and the one who made the rules. No one else dared to object, except for Azure Sea Breeze. However, Lu Li had used the cold facts to tell him how narrow his mind was and how tragic his revenge would be.
This punishment was a warning to others.
The people present all weighed themselves and felt that they were nowhere near as untouchable as Water Fairy.
Now, under Sky Moon’s command, the rate of progress of this Instance Dungeon resumed to its normal level again.
Deep Watersong had been the Main Tank for the past two days, and could completely understand Azure Sea Breeze’s feelings. No matter what, he probably wanted to find a scapegoat.
But no matter what happened, it seemed that the scapegoat was him.
This was especially since he was the one that Lu Li, Wandering and Sky Moon all approved of. He couldn’t avoid the blame.
On the third day, Deep Watersong cried and begged while making more promises, and finally got Azure Sea Breeze to agree to swap with him to be the Main Tank.
When Azure Sea Breeze was Main Tank, Lu Li would command. When Deep Watersong was the Main Tank, then Sky Moon would be in command.
The two pairs invisibly formed a competitive situation. If it wasn’t to ensure the progress of the First Clear, then Lu Li was likely to have split into two teams. He and Sky Moon would each have led one and competed fairly.
As time passed, Sky Moon’s performance become more and more outstanding. Lu Li discovered in surprise that Sky Moon was kind of right. A Wild Druid’s advantage was as simple as running back to Ouro as quickly as possible.
The current version of Wild Druids (including Bear Tanks), similar to other professions such as Shadow Priests, had no real sense of existence. Their skills were nondescript and they had no special equipment. In the early and middle stages of the game, there was only one level 40 Warder’s staff and Armor that suited Wild Druids.
The Molten Core and Blackwing’s Nest only dropped a few suitable pieces, for example, the Taut Dragonhide collection. Thieves wouldn’t want Transmog sets, and every time they were dropped, the whole team would swear. Only the Druids would laugh behind everyone’s backs. It was only when the two Instance Dungeons of Ahn’Qiraj were opened up did they start to see more items. Even the T2.5 set was completely suited to Bear Tanks, which was considered a win for Wild Druids.
However, a majority of Wild Druids couldn’t gain access into Instance Dungeons, so they didn’t even have the chance to gain equipment.
It was only players like Deep Watersong who relied on super-guilds like Drizzle Court that could acquire such items. No matter how low the drop rate was, it wasn’t a problem.
Or perhaps it was because of his profession that a majority of his items were not as good as Azure Sea Breeze’s.
Lu Li had never experienced this stage, so he had no idea how to go about it. At the same time, in the same place of Ahn’Qiraj Temple, Wild Druids were given for the first time an official position.
They played a vital role – their high HP, high Armor and high Resistances all became decisive advantages.
Of course, this wasn’t to say that a Warrior tank wouldn’t be capable. At the very least, Lu Li knew that a majority of First Clear teams used Warriors, but the tolerance rate for mistakes was just a bit lower.
When the team was destroyed again, Lu Li felt that he needed to say something.
“Actually, Breezy and Watersong, you guys can split the roles. Don’t think of yourselves as distinct Main and Secondary tanks.”
“It does seem like we can do that,” Azure Sea Breeze agreed.
“Another thing – I reckon the whole team should focus a little more. I didn’t see the location of the last mould because I was completely blocked. I felt as though there were people everywhere and I was dizzy,” Deep Watersong explained with a bitter smile.
“That seems plausible,” Sky Moon nodded, and began to think about how he could focus altogether.
“We’ve got some Natural Resistance equipment here. Perhaps we can divide it up,” Water Fairy suggested. She wanted to contribute more for this First Clear, but after some thought, it seemed like there weren’t many opportunities.
In the end, she could only get purchase equipment from the market and clubs she had good relations with.
Ouro’s biggest difficulties were like that of Ragnaros’ before. They both required a certain level of resistance; Ouro just required rarer Natural Resistance equipment instead.
“Cold Chill seems to have a new type of medicine which can buff Natural Resistance. It’s just a little expensive. Drinking it for two weeks wouldn’t be financially viable,” Wandering said.
“Let everyone in the guild find their own ways to collect materials, I’ll go talk to them.” Azure Sea Breeze decided to show his strength of rallying supporters. After all, it was impossible for the guild to pay such a high price.
Everyone else was also thinking of solutions. Some even showed that they were willing to put money in themselves to fix equipment in case the guild couldn’t afford to.
The constant fighting costed a lot, just in terms of equipment repairs.
It wasn’t easy for everyone to earn a living. Ruling Sword had a decent amount of gold coins in the bank along with the alliance of Drizzle Court and Peerless City. The maintenance costs wouldn’t become overly problematic in the short-term.
Then, there was the issue of everyone’s emotions. Sky Moon presented the idea that for every time that a team was wiped, five minutes should be set aside to rest.
No matter being in or out of the Instance Dungeon, everyone needed to put on a performance.
The point was so people couldn’t develop a mentality of being frustrated. After all, everyone was human and not robots. To keep doing the same thing over and over again everyday was bound to make even the most iron-willed people admit defeat.
In Lu Li’s world, this idea of resting didn’t exist, but he wouldn’t disagree with this.
Lu Li only criticised Azure Sea Breeze’s dirty jokes.
There were many young girls in the team, plus some were still underage, so they had to keep things appropriate, no matter what.
