"I must see my father. Do not force my hand, teacher," Tyran Fordring said as he clenched his sword.
"You have disappointed me Tyran," Prosecutor Issilien smirked. "It was only a matter of time before your dirty blood revealed itself."
As the fighting began, two Scarlet Elites came from behind the prosecutor and rushed forwards to block Tyran's momentum.
All of them were Paladins and knew what was happening. Presumably, the High Inquisitor Issilien was aware that a day would come when his puppet broke free of his control.
The two high-level elites were strong and caused Tyran Fordring to panic.
However, they were not actually a threat to him – the real threat was prosecutor. He had begun accumulating and condensing energy in his body, then released it with a breath towards Tyran.
The two elites had obviously been training for this moment for some time and focused on crowd-controlling Tyran.
If this charged Holy Light energy hit Tyran, he was unlikely to survive. This wasn't a heal but a destructive attack.
It was at this moment that Lu Li made his move.
He didn't go for the High Inquisitor Isillien. He was a level 50 Boss, so Lu Li had no chance of interrupting his skill.
Instead, he jumped from the warhorse and leaped unusually high into the air.
The power of the Holy Light hit him and instantly engulfed him.
Yes, Lu Li's intention was to intercept the skill. This directional skill didn't have a tracking effect and since it could be avoided, it could naturally be intercepted.
He was definitely dead!
No one in the area thought that Lu Li could survive an attack like that. Tyran Fordring's eyes were red with emotion; he wasn't that close to Lu Li, but Lu Li was willing to die for him…
However, what fell onto the ground didn't appear to be a corpse.
Theoretically, even a corpse could be purified by the Holy Light, but Lu Li wasn't dead, and he didn't even have any visible injuries.

Summon a natural shield that absorbs all damage for Lu Li – even if Prosecutor Isillien's damage was insanely high, as long it was a single attack, it could be blocked.
This was an invincibility skill.
What was Dawn's most ridiculous special effect? There was no doubt that it was invincibility.
Paladins could also eventually learn a heaven-defying invincibility skill. At that time, the most popular method of fighting was to cast it, then activate their hearthstone. The other professions would only be able to watch on as the Paladin channeled. Of course, the invincibility skill was not available to every Paladin.
The High Inquisitor Isillien was not shocked or scared by Lu Li. He gently waved his Magic Staff and casted a fire attack that had no cast-time. Lu Li was speechless. He could only use his damage reduction skill and hope that he could survive this attack.
-2688!
More than half of his HP was gone, and this was only because he had barely managed to activate his damage reduction skill. Lu Li thought it was over for him, and was about to beg for mercy.
This was the strength of a level 50 wild Boss. An ordinary skill had almost taken Lu Li's life.
Tyran Fordring yelled and broke through the Paladins before charging at Issilien. If it weren't this timely attack, Lu Li probably would have died.
However, Tyran Fordring was clearly no match for the High Inquisitor.
Not to mention, Issilien refused to engage in direct combat. He maintained a distance and exclusively used skills that didn't require a channel period. Perhaps he was afraid Lu Li could intercept them again, but he slowly chipped away at Tyran.
Lu Li was starting to become a little worried.
Why hadn't old Fordring come yet? He had blocked the fatal blow of the High Inquisitor and should have reversed the story to some extent.
Something had to be done – otherwise, Tyran Fordring would still die.
Because Lu Li couldn't deal any damage to the High Inquisitor, he couldn't see the HP bars of the NPCs engaged in the fight.
Even so, he was certain that Tyran Fordring would definitely have less HP.
Lu Li could only brace himself as he used the special effect of his shoes to instantly appear behind the High Inquisitor. He moved his dagger around the Magic Staff and stabbed him in the back.
"Leave!" the High Inquisitor yelled as he turned to deal with Lu Li.
Lu Li suddenly began to wander around like a headless chicken. This was a Fear skill cast by the High Inquisitor, and it lasted longer than the regular Priest version.
Lu Li quickly activated his badge, and was left on critical HP. Even after using the effect of his necklace, he was still at the risk of dying at any time.
Nevertheless, he had to do this. He was a player and could be revived.
Even losing a level wasn't a big deal!
However, when four Scarlet Crusaders starting rushing in, Lu Li began to feel like the situation was hopeless.
He barely managed to fend off the attacks of the level 50 Elites.
"Old man, do you want to save your son?!" Lu Li cursed inwardly at Tyrion Fordring.
As a dazzling light suddenly appeared, Lu Li could only watch helplessly as it passed through Tyran Fordring.
A loud cry filled the air as Tyran Fordring struggled to get up, but failed. Lu Li could not believe that the invincible Tyran Fordring had fallen like this.
It was unclear when Isillien had managed to charge up that attack again, but he had mercilessly unleashed it when it was ready.
Tyran's pale face had lost its brilliance and looked lifeless. This seemed like indisputable evidence to Lu Li – Tyran Fordring was dead.
Even after all of this, he had still failed to protect the Paladin. His own strength was too weak; he was unable to change anything.
The sounds of hoofs came from afar, and weeping pierced through the air.
Old Fordring was coming!
It was a pity, because if he had been a moment earlier, this could have been a reunion of father and son rather than the loss of a child.
If only he was a moment earlier!
