Benedict felt emotional after speaking to the little boys for a long time.
These two children had grown up without many things that any ordinary kid would have, yet he, as their
grandfather, did nothing.
Fortunately, Rosalie, as a mother, brought them up quite well. From the conversation, Benedict could
see that there was no deviation in the personalities and mentalities of the two children.
They grew up surprisingly well.
His eldest grandson, Lucian, had an amazing memory and logical mind. He was a rare decision-making
genius.
On the other hand, Nox had an active mind and a strong interest in technology. He was also a rare
talent in technical research and development.
Of course, the two people had some complementary characteristics. It was as if they had been in a
seamless cooperative relationship since they were in their mommy’s womb.
Meanwhile, Estelle was lively and adorable. She was also sensible and sensitive. Benedict was sure
there was a talent in her that they had not found.
It was a blessing to the Lawrence family that Rosalie and Byron had given birth to the triplets.
Lucian and Nox were close to Benedict now, and they talked about many things, which brightened their
day.
It was almost time to go back. After Melody watched Estelle’s performance, she held Estelle’s hand
and returned to the headmaster’s office.
Anger flared up in Melody when she saw the two boys talking happily with her husband. She tried hard
to suppress her burning rage.
“Is Estie getting thinner lately? Look at her!” Melody muttered, “Did her mommy not do her job and feed
Estie well?”
She was apparently trying to blame Rosalie.
Estelle immediately shook her head and explained, “Grandma, there's no such thing. Mommy fell sick a
while ago, really, really sick! She has just started getting better. I’m worried about Mommy, but I am
eating well.”
Hearing Melody accusing his mommy, Lucian spoke out for her, “Mommy is nice to Estie. Estie looks a
little thinner because she has lost her baby fat. I’m sure her weight is just the same.”
It was a reasonable and logical response. Benedict nodded his head and smiled.
Nox did not want just to stand by. He added, “Mopmmy treats Estie the best among us three. She'll
make sure Estie has a balanced diet whenever we have our meals. She eats everything—vegetables,
meat, and even fruits. Mommy cares about Estie. She even taught Estie many idioms.”
Melody could say nothing. No one in the room was on her side.
She could only put on a long face and mutter, “It’s almost time. Benedict, let’s leave.”
“Okay, please wait for me outside. I have something to tell the three kids.”
Melody immediately headed out.
Meanwhile, Benedict stayed behind to discuss with the three little ones what gifts they wanted.
He wanted to make up for what the Lawrence family owed the two children.
“Grandpa, we don’t want anything. We're happy enough if we can visit you often.”
“Grandpa, I want to learn to play chess. I heard from Daddy that you're good at playing chess. Please
teach us.”
Benedict agreed to the boys’ simple wishes readily.
When he left, he hugged the three little ones and told them to take good care of themselves.
He also gave Lucian and Nox his phone number.
Then, the headmaster brought the children back to class. Benedict was in a good mood. When he
walked out of the kindergarten, he was still smiling.
However, that smile was an eyesore to Melody.
“No, I can't let Rosalie deceive them any longer. I have to force her to prove it.” She pondered and
decided.
