What Went Wrong?
Rosalie merely smiled in response, she looked up at Andrius, who was standing opposite her, and
smiled. “ I’ve also come to ask Young Master Quirke a favor.”
Andrius was quick to agree. “Go ahead, Dr. Jacobs.”
Rosalie was about to reply when Old Master Quirke waved. “Let’s not talk here. Lunch is almost ready.
Stay for lunch, Dr. Jacobs. The two of you can talk while you eat.”
A tinge of turmoil flashed through Rosalie’s eyes.
The purpose of her visit was leaning more toward confronting Andrius rather than asking for a favor.
With Old Master Quirke being such a passionate host, Rosalie did not know if she could continue with
accusing words.
Andrius was quick to agree as well. “You must’ve made quite a journey when you came over, Dr.
Jacobs. Stay for lunch,okay?”
Right after he was done, he helped old Master Quirke walk back into the villa.
Rosalie had no other choice but to follow behind them. What she had rehearsed in her head was
completely discarded.
At the dining table, Rosalie was still contemplating how she should approach the subject when Old
Master Quirke chirped in, “Dr. Jacobs, you said you have a favor to ask of Andrius right? what is it?”
Andrius looked across the table at her as well.
Rosalie hesitated for a moment before fishing a list out of her bag and handing it over to Andrius. “I was
just wondering if Quirke Corporation still has supplies for these medicinal materials? Due to unforeseen
circumstances, my initial suppliers can’t keep up with our needs. Since we’re in urgent need of these
materials, my last resort is to seek help from you regarding this.”
Andrius took the list, scanned it, and frowned slightly. “These are all uncommon materials, so I think
there should still be some stock left in our warehouse, but I’m not sure if they would be enough for
you.”
Upon hearing what Andrius had said, Rosalie let out a breath she did not even know she was holding.
She may not know if it was due to the fact that old Master Quirke was present, but Andrius was clearly
ready to help. Hence, the urgent needs of the research institute could be met.
“We don’t need much. I’m still trying to get in touch with the other suppliers as well, since I didn’t make
any reservations, for your side to be able to provide us a little of those materials to meet our needs is
already a better outcome than what we expected.”
Andrius frowned slightly. “If you’re in urgent need of materials, you can come straight to US Quirkes
first in the future. We’ll give you priority because you cured my grandpa.”
Rosalie accepted the offer.
“However, I’m not directly in charge of stock supplies. Just go straight to Don Juan. He’ll make the
necessary arrangements,” Andrius added.
Rosalie was visibly confused after hearing what Andrius had said.
Andrius saw how quiet Rosalie had become, so he asked curiously, “what is it? Any problems?”
Rosalie hesitated for a while before replying truthfully, “I don’t wanna lie to you. I’ve already liaised with
Mr. Juan before I came, but he said… that it might be too difficult a task for Quirke Enterprise. I thought
this was your order, so I thought I’d come over personally for this.”
It seemed like Andrius knew nothing about this.
Andrius’ brows tightened in a furrow.
Old Master Quirke’s facial expression had also become a little grim.
All this while, Andrius had given clear instructions to prioritize Rosalie and her research institute when it
came to medicinal materials supplies.
However, at the moment, Rosalie was rejected by their employees.
What went wrong?
When he snapped back to his senses, Andrius’ face was solemn as he looked at Rosalie. “I didn’t order
such a thing. We, the Quirkes, have a history that goes back hundreds of years. It’s the bare minimum
for US to keep our word! Now that such a problem has arisen, there much be something that went
wrong somewhere in between. I’m not too sure about the details yet, but rest assured, Dr. Jacobs, I’ll
investigate and come back to you regarding this! ”
