He Was Really Pissed
Byron ignored her question and just stared at her coldly. “How far has your relationship with him
developed?”
Upon hearing the question, Rosalie frowned sharply, she lowered her voice to a mutter. “Byron, you’d
better stop your nonsense.
There’s nothing between me and Leon. Even if there is, what does it have to do with you? what right do
you have to ask me about my private affairs?”
Byron tightened his grip, trying his best to suppress his anger.
The tension in the air between them was so thick that one could slice through it with a knife.
Just looking at this obstinate man in front of her made Rosalie feel a wave of exhaustion wash over her
body.
“President Lawrence, please know your place.” After a long pause, Rosalie lowered her gaze and
coldly said, “I’m leaving, so would you be so kind as to let go of my arm?”
The grip on her wrist slackened.
Rosalie swiftly withdrew her hand, then looked up at the person before her. “I’m seriously just friends
with Leon, so please don’t cause any trouble for him. Also, please don’t send anyone to surveil me
anymore.”
Without waiting for Byron’s response, Rosalie turned around and hurried into her car, almost as if she
was trying to run away.
Seeing Rosalie’s car slowly disappearing from sight, Byron suddenly snapped back to his senses. He
slowly clenched the hand hanging by his side.
Moments later, a loud bang resonated as he slammed the car door.
Rosalie was right. He really was in no position to ask her about her private affairs.
Even so, the moment he so much as imagined her being close with another man, he just could not help
feeling pissed!
“Byron?” Andrea had just arrived back home when she saw Byron at the gates of her house, so she
approached him affectionately.
Only after getting closer did she notice the menacing aura emanating from Byron.
Andrea’s heart trembled, and for a moment, she forgot what she was going to say. However, she had
already caught Byron’s attention, and the man looked up at her indifferently.
When Andrea met his gaze, her mind went blank for a moment.
The smile on her face slightly faltered. “Are you… about to leave?”
Byron flatly replied monotonously, “Yeah.”
Andrea clenched her handbag nervously and frantically asked, ” Um… How’s Wendy’s recovery going?
I haven’t seen her in the past two days, so I’m wondering if—”
Without waiting for her to finish her sentence, Byron just gave her a cold look, opened the car door, and
got into his car right in front of her.
The door slammed shut in her face.
Andrea’s voice cut off abruptly.
A second later, the car seemed to almost brush past her body as it sped off.
Andrea took a step back in alarm. It was not until Byron’s car had disappeared out of sight did she
slowly recover from her shock.
After standing at the gate for a long moment, Andrea finally turned around and entered the villa.
Old Master Quirke and Andrius were sitting on the couch, chatting about company matters. When they
saw her walk in, they both simultaneously turned to look at her.
“Hey, Grandpa.” Andrea smiled and sat down next to old Master Quirke, hugging his arm affectionately.
Old Master Quirke had always loved her dearly, and he was only mad at her for a few days. Now that
the matter with Rosalie had been resolved, he was back to being affectionate toward his
granddaughter. He responded with a smile.
Andrius frowned as he looked at her. “what have you been up to?”
Andrea replied, “I was just hanging out with my friends.”
After saying that, she gave her brother a cautious look. “Was Byron here just now?”
Andrius’s brows raised slightly. “How’d you know?”
Thinking back to her encounter with him earlier, Andrea complained bitterly, “I met him at the gate just
now. I don’t know what happened to him, but he was really pissed.”
