Hide And Seek
Rosalie frowned slightly. Just as she was about to say something, the little boy seemed to think of
something and carefully changed his words. “Maybe not every day forever. Just come and pick US up
every day before the anniversary celebration event.”
As the boy had compromised, Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief and agreed with a smile. “Okay.”
All three little faces were full of excitement when they saw her agree.
On the side, Byron heard the little boy’s compromise and a trace of displeasure crossed his heart.
He could guess why the little boy made concessions and also knew why Rosalie agreed to the little
boy’s request.
Due to rehearsals, the woman knew that she could not avoid meeting them and found it pointless to
hide from them.
Once the anniversary event was over, this woman would hide again.
It was already past eight o’clock after dinner because Rosalie came back too late. They finished
rehearsals in a hurry, then it was already time for Byron to go back with Estie.
The little girl was still a little reluctant.
Rosalie smiled soothingly at her. “Estie darling, Auntie will pick you up tomorrow. Let’s play then,
okay?”
Hearing this, she nodded obediently.
Rosalie raised her eyes to look at the man in front of her and was about to say goodbye when Byron’s
phone rang.
Rosalie stopped the conversation at the right time and looked at him as he answered the phone
expressionlessly.
It was apparent that it was a work call. Byron picked up the phone, said a few words, nodded at
Rosalie, then turned around to go to the balcony.
Only Rosalie and three children were left in the living room.
The little kids saw Byron going away to answer the phone. Their eyes lit up as they started whispering
and playing again.
Before Rosalie could speak, the three little children had already run away and disappeared.
Seeing this, Rosalie smiled helplessly and played hide -and-seek with them.
The house was so big, and there were only two corners where Lucian and Nox often hidi.
Rosalie quickly found the two brothers, and the three found Little Estie together.
“Mommy.” Nox gently tugged on the hem of Rosalie’s clothes.
Rosalie followed the little boy’s line of sight, only to see a pair of small feet exposed under the curtain.
They kept fidgeting in the corner.
The little girl did not know that she had been discovered, and she also did not realize how conspicuous
her hiding place was. She only wanted to hide a little deeper.
Seeing the cute behavior of the little girl, Rosalie subconsciously glanced at the man on the balcony.
Byron turned his back to them and was still on the phone. It seemed that the call would take a long
while.
Rosalie retracted her gaze, made a hushing gesture to Lucian and Nox, and wanted to play with the
little girl for a while.
The two little guys understood and walked in the opposite direction while calling out for Little Estie.
The figure behind the curtain moved again, and Rosalie even heard a faint giggle but Little Estie had
quickly held herself back.
Seeing her so happy, Rosalie tiptoed lightly in the direction of the little one.
“Ta-da, I found you!” she walked to the little girl and gently opened the curtain.
The girl froze for a moment, then she quickly ran away with a smile.
Rosalie was amused by the little one and followed her unhurriedly. “I’ll catch you soon!”
Lucian and Nox also joined the battle, chasing and blocking the little girl.
Little Estie hurriedly ran toward the balcony.
On the balcony, Byron had just finished the phone call and had no idea what was going on in the room.
As soon as he turned around and came in, he saw his daughter out of breath from laughing. She
bumped into him just as he reached out to hold her.
