Sitting Together
After everyone arrived, Miss Leigh Ann called everyone to gather. She requested everyone to get on
the bus in order of the list they filled up the night before.
Rosalie remained at the end with two boys.
All the students in the class were only children. Only Rosalie had two children. Hence, their seats were
arranged in the back row.
Teacher Leigh Ann called Lucian’s and Nox’s names, then looked up to confirm their attendance when
she saw the person standing next to Rosalie.
“President Lawrence, uhhh… Does Estelle want to go too?”
Byron nodded noncommittally. “Estelle wants to participate.”
Hearing this, Miss Leigh Ann was a little embarrassed. “But…”
Estie had never participated in these activities in the past, so she had thought that Estie would not
participate either this time. She did not make arrangements for Estie and Byron regardless of it were
seats or hotel rooms.
Byron frowned deeply, “What’s the problem?”
“Because you’ve never participated before, I didn’t think you would come this time, so you might need
to squeeze in with other parents.” Miss Leigh Ann looked at him apologetically,” Of course, this matter
is due to my negligence. I’ll definitely solve it.”
When compiling the list that day, although Byron did not say that Estelle would be going, he also did
not mention that she would not not be participating.
Miss Leigh Ann should have thought of this and arranged for two more seats and rooms just in case.
At present, the seats on the bus had been assigned. For a moment, she really could not think of how
she could empty out two seats.
Byron looked at the woman beside him. “Miss Jacobs has two children. I wonder if she can spare a
seat for me and Estelle?”
Rosalie was about to take the two boys up on the bus and was caught off guard when he mentioned
her. She subconsciously stopped.
Miss Leigh Ann was reminded by Byron, and now, she also looked at Rosalie, “Miss Jacobs, Lucian
and Nox have been getting along well with Estie at school, you see–”
The implication was that she hoped she could give Byron a seat.
However, they would inevitably have to sit together that way.
Rosalie looked back at the man and calmly suggested, “President Lawrence, your driver is likely still
waiting outside, no? Have the driver take you with Estelle. It’ll be more comfortable than you taking the
bus with us.”
Byron’s expression did not change. “I already asked the driver to go back first.”
Hearing this, Rosalie’s thin lips pursed slightly. There was no other reason for her to refuse him now.
Miss Leigh Ann’s eyes were full of pleading too.
After a moment of silence, Rosalie finally conceded. “Fine, I’ll squeeze in with President Lawrence.”
With that, she turned and got onto the bus. Byron followed her with Estie. The seats in the back row
were for five people. There was already a father and daughter pair seated. The remaining three seats
were originally reserved for Rosalie and two little guys.
Rosalie looked at the boys and hesitated about who she should carry.
Lucian said sensibly, “Nox is always moving around. Let him take a seat by himself.”
Nox had no objections to this. He knew that Mommy treated them the same and that his brother was
only stating the truth. Mommy would be uncomfortable if he kept moving around while on her lap.
Rosalie held Lucian in her lap, leaving a seat for Byron and Estie. As soon as Byron got on the bus, he
attracted everyone’s attention.
