Feeling Confused
Andrius arrived at the clubhouse half an hour later wearing only pajamas with a long coat thrown on
top.
Fortunately, he was a regular patron of the clubhouse and was recognized the moment he entered the
door, otherwise, he would have definitely been refused entry with what he was wearing.
When he got to the private room under Byron, he saw him already sitting in there. There were only a
few plates of simple bar snacks on the table, and the rest of the space was filled with wine bottles.
There was one bottle with a large half of its content already drunk.
’’What’s wrong?” Andrius’ heart sank as he carefully sat down beside his brother.
Byron, as if having just noticed his existence, turned to glance at him with an empty look. “I did as you
said.”
Hearing this, Andrius could not help frowning. He did not know what he meant.
Did as he said? What did he say? What would make his friend like this?
While pondering about it, Andrius poured himself a glass of wine and joined Byron to drink.
After drinking a glass, a guess came to mind.
“Is it about Dr. Jacobs?” Andrius still had the wine glass in his hand when he looked at the person
beside him hesitantly.
Apart from Rosalie, he could not imagine anyone else who could drive his friend to come out so late to
get drunk.
He felt as if the temperature in the private room had dropped a few degrees after he said that.
Andrius silently wrapped his windbreaker around him tightly. He already had an answer in his heart, but
he still waited silently for Byron’s response.
An unknown amount of time passed before he heard Byron’s displeased question, “what am I
supposed to do? I was indeed in the wrong six years ago, but what did I do wrong after she came
back? why is she avoiding me like this?”
With each consecutive question, Andrius’s heart constricted. “Are you and Dr. Jacobs in trouble again?
Didn’t you guys go on vacation together two days ago?”
Byron frowned and put the wine glass back on the table. The crisp clinking of the glass sounded.
Andrius’ heart was trembling. He could not figure out what had happened to these two that made Byron
so angry like this.
Byron’s voice sounded coldly after a while. “We might as well not have had that vacation!”
Speaking of which, Byron was the one who planned the vacation. He had even changed the first-place
reward ad hoc.
Now that he was thinking about it, however, he might as well not have done it.
If the turning point of their relationship had remained like it was at the end of the stage play, maybe that
woman would not be rejecting him like she was now!
He still had not figured out what went wrong during the vacation! Andrius was at a loss. “What do you
mean? The vacation didn’t go well? Didn’t you do what I said? I told you to be kinder to Dr. Jacobs
It stood to reason that if he simply wanted to ease his relationship with Dr. Jacobs, there should not be
any problems if they had gotten along well during this vacation.
Byron frowned. He recalled what happened during the vacation and felt even more displeased in his
heart.
He had gone beyond just being kind to the woman. He had practically fulfilled all her wishes.
Even the boys’ attitude toward him had improved.
He also felt in the middle that the relationship between the two of them had improved, but he did not
expect the woman to switch up abruptly just as the vacation was about to end!
Thinking of this, Byron’s expression furrowed greatly.
Seeing his friend’s expression, Andrius could somewhat guess the answer and felt even more puzzled.
“No, if you really did what I said, Dr. Jacobs’ attitude toward you should’ve improved!”
