Give Her A Little Patience
Byron watched the woman laugh in glee, his expression becoming increasingly tense. He could not
help but ask, “So, you have a good relationship with Young Master Leon, Dr. Jacobs?”
Rosalie and Andrius were both stunned when he suddenly spoke.
Andrius was keenly aware of the tension in the air and silently kept his mouth shut. He tried to reduce
his presence as much as possible.
Rosalie was momentarily stunned, then she looked at the man indifferently. “I’ve known my senior for a
long time. Leon has always taken care of me, so I’m also very grateful to him.”
Byron’s lips tightened as he retorted, “Really? Have you known him longer than we have known each
other?”
Rosalie’s heart tightened suddenly, and he glanced at Andrius beside her.
Byron’s statement was almost equivalent to telling Andrius about their past relationship.
Andrius sat there with an unchanging expression as if he had not heard Byron’s words.
Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief, then she frowned and looked at the man beside him. “My relationship
with Leon is incomparable to the relationship between me and President Lawrence.”
Sensing that Rosalie was still avoiding the relationship between them, Byron became more and more
sarcastic. “Indeed, Dr. Jacobs and I have only met a few times. How can our relationship be compared
to your years of friendship with Young Master Leon? I wonder to what extent have Lucian and Nox
accepted Young Master Leon?”
The implication was that Rosalie wanted Leon to be the father of the two boys.
Rosalie’s frown became tighter, and her tone was filled with anger. “I’m just friends with Leon. Please
don’t talk nonsense!”
Byron sneered sarcastically and was about to speak when Andrius firmly pressed his buddy’s arm. He
interrupted, “Ahem, it’s time for the old man to wake up. Byron, why don’t you come up with me?”
Without waiting for Byron’s reaction, he quickly grabbed the man, motioning him to follow him upstairs.
Byron shot an unpleasant look at Rosalie and stonily brushed away Andrius’ hand on his arm.
Seeing this, Andrius thought that Byron would continue to confront Rosalie. That would be a real
headache.
He created an opportunity for them today to make their relationship better, not to let them quarrel in his
house…
Fortunately, Byron did not say anything. After brushing Andrius’ hand away, he stood up silently, turned,
and walked upstairs.
Andrius quickly got up and smiled apologetically at Rosalie. “Dr. Jacobs, my apologies. Byron has no
other intentions. I hope you don’t mind. We’ll go up and check on old Master Quirke. Please wait a
moment. The old man will come down soon.”
As Andrius stood up to keep the peace, Rosalie could not say anything else, she suppressed the anger
in her heart and nodded to Andrius.
Andrius smiled embarrassingly, turned around, and followed Byron’s footsteps.
“What are you doing, Byron? Didn’t you come here today to mend your relationship with Dr. Jacobs?”
Andrius could not help but ask as they went upstairs.
Byron’s face was cold, and he did not answer.
He did not even know why he came here.
The woman was a stranger to him and Estie. The little girl was so sad because of her last night.
He came here wanting an explanation from Rosalie for the little one, but when Andrius mentioned Leon
and her, Byron felt a burst of displeasure in his heart.
If Andrius had not interrupted in time, he did not know what he might have said.
Andrius looked at his angry friend and sighed helplessly. “So much happened between you two six
years ago. If you want Dr. Jacobs to accept you again, you have to show her a little patience.”
