Think of Another Solution
Back upstairs, old Master Quirke sighed faintly. “Keep an eye on Andrea more in the future. She’s
impulsive. I’m afraid she’ll do something stupid again.”
Andrius quickly complied. “Don’t worry.”
“Also, don’t take Andrea’s words to heart just now. We’ll supply Dr. Jacobs with the medicinal materials
as usual. If there’s any problem with the Lawrences, I’ll handle it.” The old master earnestly said, “The
Quirkes have always kept their word. We can’t break our principles because of this.”
Andrius nodded. “I’ll call Dr. Jacobs and explain the situation to her.”
The old master nodded. “Go on, then. I’m a little tired. II
The old master’s mood was quite foul today because of the situation Andrea caused. Now that the
matter was solved, his body felt the exhaustion.
Andrius waited for the old master to fall asleep before getting up to leave the room and call Rosalie.
At the same time, Rosalie was sitting in the office with a heavy heart.
She noted the sky getting dark, yet there was no news from the Quirke family.
She even began to suspect whether the investigation the Quirkes mentioned was really just an excuse,
just as Yves had said.
If this was the case, she had to find a way to contact medicinal material businesses from neighboring
cities.
Although it required time for the neighboring cities to transport the medicinal materials, there was no
other way.
She wondered if the medicinal material businesses in the neighboring cities had also received the
warning from the Lawrences…
Thinking of this, Rosalie fished out her mobile phone with hesitation. She wanted to call the seniors she
had met at the last academic conference.
The moment she took out her phone, it suddenly vibrated and began to ring.
Rosalie was stunned for a moment, she frowned, but when she saw the caller ID, her eyes shone
slightly. She hurriedly answered, “Young Master Quirke.”
On the other end, Andrius’ expression was full of apology. “Dr. Jacobs, the matter has been
investigated. There were indeed some misunderstandings in the middle which we have solved now.
The Quirkes’ medicinal materials will be delivered to the door of the research institute on time tomorrow
morning.”
Hearing this, Rosalie breathed a long sigh of relief. The weight in her heart slowly lifted. “May I ask
what the misunderstanding was about?”
Andrius was silent for a few seconds before he apologetically replied, “About that…We can’t easily
disclose the reason concerning the Quirkes, but you can rest assured that this kind of thing will not
happen again.”
Hearing him say so, Rosalie could not ask anymore. Hence, she nodded and replied, “Thank you for
everything.”
Andrius smiled, “Yes, if you have any urgently needed medicinal materials in the future, you can
consider the Quirke family first. We definitely will not breach the contract.”
Rosalie simply thanked him. The two of them exchanged a few more words before hanging up.
At the same time, someone knocked on the door of Rosalie’s office.
Yves entered.
He had similarly waited the entire day but had not received a single piece of news from the Quirkes.
Worried, he thought of asking Rosalie about it.
“Dr. Jacobs, do we have any news from the Quirkes?”
He noticed the faint look of joy on Rosalie’s face after saying that.
“They just called me. The medical materials will be here tomorrow,” Rosalie replied with a smile.
Yves had already read the answer from her expression. Hearing this, a smile was also revealed on his
face. “Didn’t I say, the Quirkes won’t possibly do something such as breaking a promise..”
With that, the smile on his face gradually faded. “But at present, only the Quirke family is cooperating
with our research institute. The supplies may not be enough for US.”
The research institute was growing, and the supply of medicinal materials from the Quirke family could
not keep up with their consumption at all.
The smile on Rosalie’s face also diminished. “Either way, the batch from the Quirkes solves our urgent
need. We’ll think of another solution later!”
