Lucas agreed readily.
He took over the CEO position, became Rosalie’s student, and achieved the success of his life.
After pondering, he felt this was a win-win situation, but it was he who benefited twice.
Byron and Rosalie looked at each other and smiled upon seeing they had cheered Lucas up. They had
finally settled this matter.
That afternoon after lunch, Lucas headed out.
He went to look for Andrius, and they decided to visit Chloe in the detention center after Andrius
returned from his trip.
In the detention center, Chloe’s expression looked complicated when she saw Andrius and Lucas.
After exchanging pleasantries, Lucas asked her why she was unwilling to try to reduce her sentence.
Even though she might be unable to leave Coast City, she did not need to stay behind bars. All she
needed to do was to clock-in in time.
Chloe shook her head and smiled.
“Thank you for visiting me. I was foolish before for not noticing many things that I should have
cherished, such as friendships, my family, and my career.”
“I understand your feelings. I was devastated a while ago and wanted to be locked in. All I wanted was
to escape the trouble to live in peace!” Andrius spoke out suddenly.
However, he smiled and said, “Fortunately, I've gradually stepped out of my cage and am trying to find
a new life.”
“Heh! Many things are like a cage, easily trapping our souls. Just like me. I think living a simple life is
better now. I can even do business to make a living. That would be a good life too. Of course, the most
important thing is passion.”
Lucas knew Andrius had been living in restrain. However, when he tried to help Andrius, he insisted he
was fine.
Most adults would have a psychological disorder. It was just that not many would admit it.
The three talked for half an hour, and Chloe told them she would be released in three months.
After leaving the detention center, Lucas felt happy for Andrius, who seemed relaxed.
“When are you going to introduce me to Miss Wilson? How far has your relationship with her gone?” he
quipped.
Unexpectedly, Andrius was flustered. “M-Mary and I are just friends.”
“Is that so? Alright then. I want to be Mary’s friend too. What do you think about that?” Lucas teased
Andrius.
Andrius was lost in deep thought upon hearing that.
He was reluctant to let Lucas be Mary’s friend deep down him.
It was as though he was afraid Lucas would steal Mary.
“No problem. I’ll introduce you to Mary when she's free, but do you have a girlfriend?”
Andrius’ silly way of easing his worries made Lucas chuckle.
Instead of answering, Lucas planned to test him by asking, “Andrius, what do you think about the future
of Petal Talk?”
“Undoubtedly, it'll be the strongest domestic cosmeceutical brand in the future, and its market share will
be larger, forming a huge impact on foreign brands and constantly replacing them. Chloe's operation
idea is very simple, which is to rely on word-of-mouth. It's the most authentic commercial method. In
short, this is a very successful company. Of course, the most important thing is that Rosalie is leading
the team. With such research and development ability, Petal Talk will be undefeatable.”
Andrius was serious and reacted quickly when Lucas talked about business.
However, like a kid, he was slow and innocent regarding his feelings for a woman.
That aroused Lucas’ interest in observing Andrius.
