Chapter 904: You Want Me To Die, I Insist On Staying Alive
The image that came to Yan Qingsi’s mind was Yan Mingzhu’s face. She recalled an incident that occurred during the filming of Requiem’s finale, where she was inexplicably locked in the car. The number of incidents that she was involved, wasn’t it a bit too many?
While she was recollecting the past, that person had been patiently waiting to deal her the finishing blow.
As she thought about it, Yan Qingsi’s hair stood on end. The ice-cold lake water seems to have seeped through into her bone marrow.
There was only a short period of time one could have remained underwater without any swimming equipment or oxygen supply before one starts to run out of oxygen and slowly lose their consciousness.
In order to not be found by those guarding the surface, the dark shadow kept dragging her deeper in hopes that even if they realized something was amidst, it would be too late.
The lifeguards arranged by the director had been stationed on a boat further away from the scene to avoid being accidentally caught on camera.
That was the reason, at this moment… Yan Qingsi was getting more deep in her thoughts. Her mind became clearer with each passing moment.
On account of her present situation, she knows that she cannot count on anyone to save her. No one could see nor help her right now hence if she wanted to stay alive, she could only rely on herself.
One needed to always consider the worst-case scenario when making a decision. One should never rely on anyone but themselves to survive.
The shadow’s strength was quite strong causing all of Yan Qingsi’s attempts to escape, futile. Submerging lower into the water caused her surroundings to get darker and colder. Her inability to see clearly was giving her an illusion as if she was falling into the depths of hell. This caused Yan Qingsi to feel more anxious and scared.
She had never encountered such a situation before and this was scarier than when she had been trapped in that vehicle by Yan Mingzhu.
Yan Qingsi felt her consciousness getting fuzzier and fuzzier. Her strength used for struggling was also getting weaker and weaker.
The dark shadow floated up toward Yan Qingsi and she felt something looped around her neck.
She was cursing within her mind, ‘F*ck, just how much does this person hate me to even add double surety by strangling me to death underwater just in case drowning me was unsuccessful.’
The water was so dark and cold making it impossible to see anything in front of her, however…the pain in her neck finally sobered Yan Qingsi’s mind slightly. The suffocating feeling felt like a mountain pressing over her head as water started entering through her nose, mouth, and ears. She felt that she might actually just die at any moment.
Her encounter with death this time was so close, so close…that she swore she could have seen the death god waving at her.
Yan Qingsi fiercely bit down on the tip of her tongue. The pain coarse through her mind causing her resentful feelings to burst out and empowered her. She had always been a determined and obstinate person. If there were animosity, she would most definitely have her vengeance. If she got the short end of the stick, she could not possibly swallow this lying down…
‘You want me to die, I insist on staying alive. On top of that, I must live in better conditions than anyone else.’
She only had a single thought coursing through her mind, ‘I want to live, to live, to live… I must live. I must not only stay alive but most importantly I must also live a happy life.’
‘I have not gotten my revenge yet. I have not discovered who killed my mother. I have not married Yue Tingfeng. I just got a taste of happiness. I cannot just die so easily this way.’
Yan Qingsi realized for the first time that she still had so many things to look forward to in life. She used to think that living was torture for her but now, there was something for her to live for.
Yan Qingsi firmly held her hairpin and used the last ounce of her strength to stab that person behind her…
