Chapter 804: Disagreements Torture the B*stard
“You call me cruel today, but if your little plot succeeds, I will suffer. I fear everything the Yue family has will be taken away by you, and yet you still act like a saint in front of me? Get out of my sight. You haven’t mastered that ploy as well as your mother.”
Mrs. Yue sneered downwards at Yue Pengcheng, who was sprawled on the ground and groaning in pain, unable to lift himself off the floor. “You ask me for proof?” she said sarcastically. “Fine. I’ll set everything straight today.
“Just so you know, I had no intention to say this. I didn’t want to mention what happened to the Yue family thirty years ago, but since the Helans have forced this upon us, I have to do it. This man does look a lot like Yue Pengcheng, but why am I so sure this is a fake even after all these years? It’s because…Yue Pengcheng had died long ago!”
Mrs. Yue’s voice was soft, but it sent tremors throughout the area, sending shockwaves down everyone’s spines.
Yan Qingsi widened her eyes. She knew Mrs. Yue had wanted to accuse Yue Pengcheng of being a fake, but she had not expected her to be so brutal—she did not expect her to outright claim that Yue Pengcheng was dead.
She was right, though. A b*stard like Yue Pengcheng…He was better off dead.
Yue Pengcheng lay on the ground, speechless. He was the rightful head of the Yue family. It was enough that he was labeled a fake, and now she claimed that he was f*cking dead.
“Su Ningmei, you wretched b*tch,” Yue Pengcheng growled. “You dare to curse me to death…You f*cking…Mmph…Mmph!”
He did not get to finish his sentence when a foot was shoved straight into his mouth.
Ye Shaoguang frowned, putting enough strength into his foot so that Yue Pengcheng had no chance of fighting back. “Noisy bugger!” he snapped.
Yue Tingfeng cast a side-glance at Ye Shaoguang. “Since my mother has already told her side of the story, then I will tell everyone this: it’s the truth. Yue Pengcheng is dead,” he addressed the audience. “I even attended his funeral when he died a year ago. I saw his corpse turning into ash with my own eyes. Do you think it’s normal for a corpse to suddenly appear here? I don’t know what Mrs. Helan had planned, but this is a great humiliation to my mother. Mrs. Helan deserved everything she got today!”
Everyone attending the charity dinner simply felt they were witnessing the year’s best drama, with plenty of twists and turns that kept them on the edge of their seats.
No wonder Mrs. Yue had gone ballistic. Whatever love between the two had been wiped out by that good-for-nothing husband of hers long ago.
The two had not been together for decades; they would not have any feelings between them anymore. If he was still alive and came back, perhaps she could have grudgingly accepted him.
However, that husband of hers was deader than a log. Bringing a dead man back to life and shoving him into her face—what was Mrs. Helan thinking?
This seemed a little too cattish. What on earth was she planning?
Everyone automatically developed the same theory in their heads: The Helans wanted to infiltrate the Yue family and corner them from inside out, practically swallowing the Yue family whole.
Oh my goodness, this Mrs. Helan was certainly a devious character. It would be best to keep a distance from her from then on.
Thank goodness Yue Pengcheng had died. If he had not, the Yue family would have been neck-deep in trouble!
Mrs. Helan was full of internal turmoil. Mrs. Yue was so evil. She was such a cunning, conniving b*tch. She had even thought up all of these plans.
…
