Chapter 758: Beating Him Up is too Light of a Punishment for Him
Yue Tingfeng leaped onto his feet and threw his ballpoint onto the desk. “Of course, I need it. I’m so bored that I’m getting anxious. Give me something to do.”
Jiang Lai saw the discarded ballpoint drawing a line across the signature section of the contract. A muscle worked his jaw.
Jiang Lai raised his head and stared at the office ceiling as he listened to Yue Tingfeng.
‘Will the ceiling come crashing down on the boss because of the nonsense he spouts?’ he wondered.
Dear God, he was supposed to be busy.
The moment his girlfriend called, he would claim that he was free even though he was not. He really saw through the boss’s behavior. What sort of person was this? He did not have a single quality of a good boss.
“Where are you now?” Yue Tingfeng asked. “I’ll go there.”
Yue Tingfeng was elated; Yan Qingsi finally called him to do something with her. This indicated that he had gained a larger spot in her heart; this was a groundbreaking progress.
Yan Qingsi told him her current location. Yue Tingfeng recognized the wellness club; he even had a membership card gifted to him by someone else. It was probably at home though, since he never used it before.
“Wait for me,” Yue Tingfeng warned especially. “Don’t act by yourself when I’m not there. Got it?”
“Yes, I understand. I won’t make a move…”
The call ended there. Yue Tingfeng was extremely excited. He quickly called home. “Mom, help me find my membership card for the Nirvana Club. I need it. Find it quick.”
“You’re letting me into your room?”
“Yes, yes, yes…”
“I don’t know where it is, so I’ll turn your room inside out.”
“Just do it.”
“Hmm. You told me so, all right? Don’t blame me for anything.”
Yue Tingfeng grabbed his car keys and got ready to leave.
Jiang Lai stopped Yue Tingfeng. “This contract is extremely urgent, Boss.”
Yue Tingfeng shoved him aside. “Your future mistress has something even more urgent to attend to. Push this aside for a while. I’ll come back and talk about it later. If there’s anything really urgent, go look for Qu Jing.”
Yue Tingfeng strode out of the office as soon as he was done talking without waiting for a reply from Jiang Lai.
Jiang Lai emitted an impatient huff.
He was unreliable before; he was even more unreliable now.
…
Yue Tingfeng sped over and saw his household car first.
Yue Tingfeng immediately entered the car, giving Yan Qingsi a hug when he saw her. “I’m here. What bad stuff do you want to do?”
Yan Qingsi did not look at him, her gaze pinned onto the entrance of the club. “I want to clean up some trash,” she said.
That pig-headed man did not come out once during this entire hour.
Yue Tingfeng shoved his face into hers. “Who?”
Yan Qingsi pushed Yue Tingfeng’s head away. “Ye Shaoguang’s cousin brother. A fatty.”
Yue Tingfeng frowned. “Fatty… cousin brother… Ye Weiguang. What did that b*stard do to you? Tell me. I’ll kill him!”
Yan Qingsi smiled. “He offended me not too long ago…”
Yan Qingsi did not hide a single detail from Yue Tingfeng, telling him everything—from how she met up with You Yi an hour again, and what happened when they came out. “There. That’s the entire story. I can’t quite swallow this bitter pill. What do you think we should do about it?”
The smile on Yue Tingfeng’s face had faded. “Have you thought about it?”
Yan Qingsi shook her head. “I haven’t. That’s why I’m asking you or should we just follow our usual modus operandi and drug him then beat the sh*t out of him?”
“Of course not!” Yue Tingfeng protested vehemently.
“Why not?” Yan Qingsi asked, tone cool.
A wry laugh escaped Yue Tingfeng. “Beating him up is too light of a punishment for him.”
