Chapter 688: I Hope You Two Have Children Soon
Ye Shaoguang’s eyes widened in shock. Free?
Ji Mianmian grabbed Yan Qingsi’s hand and turned towards Ye Shaoguang and the girl. “I hope you two will get married soon and have children…”
Ji Mianmian blinked. “Sis, should we leave them?
Joy sprang from her heart. She finally was rid of this problem. She could forget about whatever that had happened now that she knew that Ye Shaoguang had a girlfriend. How lucky!
Only…
Ji Mianmian looked at the lady. She was beautiful. How on earth did she see anything in Ye Shaoguang?
This had nothing to do with her anymore though. She wanted to thank this lady for saving her from the deepest depths of misery.
Ji Mianmian thought of the lady as her savior. She even stepped forward and took the girl’s hand with a grave expression. “Thank you. You’re a good person. I wish you happiness.”
Sweat broke out on the girl’s forehead. What… was the meaning of all this?
Ji Mianmian gently released her hand and patted it twice.
‘So smooth, it’s like tofu’, she thought. ‘A rich person’s hand is always better taken care of than her face.’
Ye Shaoguang wanted to strap Ji Mianmian on a rocket and launch it toward Mars. She… how could she be so happy? Have children? Screw the children!
Others might have forced a laugh or a smile, but Ji Mianmian did not. She was a simple creature—whatever she thought, she said. She did not hide anything.
Whatever that she expressed was whatever that she thought. She was happy that Ye Shaoguang had a girlfriend.
She felt that she had been freed from Ye Shaoguang’s clutches.
Ye Shaoguang clenched his fists. He thought that even if Ji Mianmian had not exactly liked him, it would… It would not be as bad as this. She practically seemed like she had been saved from hell itself.
Yan Qingsi had plenty of ideas on how to torture Ye Shaoguang. She would not have ended on such a mild note, not when she started this drama. She had just started. She had not played her real hand yet.
Ji Mianmian had appeared though. Her words were enough to make Ye Shaoguang vomit his guts out and die.
Since Ji Mianmian wanted to leave, Yan Qingsi did not add anything to the fire.
Yan Qingsi nodded. “Of course. We’ll leave them to their devices.”
She looked at Ye Shaoguang and the girl. “Sorry for disturbing the two of you. Please have a nice meal, and may you have children soon.”
Yue Tingfeng walked over and clapped a hand on Yan Qingsi’s shoulder. “Why did you stir up such drama the moment I turn my head away?”
Yan Qingsi wrapped an arm around his neck. “What drama? I’m just greeting a person I know.”
Yue Tingfeng caressed the top of Yan Qingsi’s head lovingly. He looked at Ye Shaoguang, and the smile on his face hardened, turning distant.
“It looks like Shaoguang’s wedding won’t be too far off,” Yue Tingfeng said.
A muscle worked at the corner of Yue Shaoguang’s mouth. Now three people were trying to kill him?
He huffed agitatedly. “What are you talking about?” he said. “You two haven’t had your wedding yet. I definitely won’t have mine anytime soon.”
Yue Tingfeng lowered his head, leveling his vision with Yan Qingsi’s. The unintentional tenderness in the duo’s eyes stirred warm feelings in people.
“If we wanted to get married, we could do it anytime,” Yue Tingfeng said.
The words were another slap to Ye Shaoguang. It made him feel like saying, ‘I’m guilty because I’m single, all right?’
Yue Tingfeng’s eyes flickered toward the girl. “This one doesn’t seem too bad,” he said, grinning. “She looks much better than your exes, at any rate.”
