Chapter 413: Making You Lose So Hard That It Hurts
Mrs. Helan trembled, her earlier anger momentarily dissipated.
Who the hell would want to fight with someone who could break bones with their bare hands?! She did not want to get involved in that.
Mrs. Helan grumbled, “You… You… have to be careful. My shoes are dirty. What are you going to do about it?”
Mrs. Yue called the manager over and said, “Please remove Mrs. Helan’s shoes and clean them for her.”
Yan Qingsi tried holding in her laugh. ‘Seems like I have two buffoons today.’
“Mrs. Helan, look at the bag.”
Mrs. Helan was hurting. The bag was her favorite. “You want this bag? It’s yours if you win three rounds, but if you lose once, you return to us all the money that you won earlier.”
With that, Mrs. Helan roped in the other two ladies, forming an alliance. As long as they joined forces and defeated Yan Qingsi, it did not really matter who won. By then, Yan Qingsi would have had to cough up all the money that she won from them.
Yan Qingsi’s fingers slid on a chicken and she chuckled. “From the looks of it, I’ll still get this even if I don’t want it. What are you waiting for? Let’s start!”
Ji Mianmian rubbed her hands together. ‘You go, goddess! You’re the best!’
Mrs. Yue rubbed her fingers and had nothing but respect for Yan Qingsi. Even if she lost several million again, Mrs. Yue was still very happy that she got to assert herself once more.
Mrs. Helan and the other two women joined hands to try and defeat Yan Qingsi. They fed tiles to each other, only stopping short of handing each other the tiles in the open.
Yan Qingsi did not care one bit and played with gusto. Mrs. Yue’s eyes widened and her mouth hung open in an O. She looked very much like the ‘astonished emoji’, with its wide eyes, raised eyebrows and mouth wide open.
Mrs. Yue felt that she had wasted many years in her halfhearted take on the game. She had never thought it was anything serious, but now she finally realized that there was more than meets the eye. She could barely keep up with her opponents.
Mrs. Yue leaned closer to Yan Qingsi, hoping that some of that godly aura from the Mahjong Goddess would rub off on her; perhaps she might even win more games in the future.
They were going to play three consecutive matches, and Yan Qingsi won the first two rounds easily. The last round went on the longest, and it looked as though it was going to be a reversal. Yan Qingsi touched her last tile, and, without even looking, she smiled and revealed her hand. “Self-draw, completed hand…”
Mrs. Helan and the other two were stunned. ‘Motherf*cker! How could you come back from such a position?’
Yan Qingsi raised her hand and snapped her fingers. “Mianmian, get the bag!”
Ji Mianmian pulled up her sleeves. “Sure thing!”
She grabbed Mrs. Helan’s bag but was met with resistance. Mrs. Helan shrieked, “What are you doing?”
Li Mianmian’s meaty little face swelled up. “Mrs. Helan, you can’t go back on your word. My Sis won against you three times. The bag is ours. You’re already so old, plus you’re also a rich man’s wife. You can’t go back on your word. I heard you promise just now.”
“I… I…” Mrs. Helan was shaking. She had already agreed to it, but she did not expect Yan Qingsi to come out victorious with the three of them cornering her.
Li Mianmian held Mrs. Helan’s hand and grasped her wrist tightly, trying to pry her hand off the bag.
Unable to withstand the pain, Mrs. Helan had no choice but to let go. Getting her bones broken was not something that she looked forward to.
Li Mianmian took the bag and stood behind Yan Qingsi. “Sis, what about these two ladies?”
Yan Qingsi took out the point-of-sale machine and said, “Would you prefer to swipe your card or trade-in something?”
The two of them were utterly regretful. “We… We…”
