“Mr. Winters!” Adeena leaned back once again. “Please don‘t make such a joke.”

“It‘s not a joke.” Duke looked at her seriously. “Ms. Willis ... or should I call you Adee. I hope you don‘t
mind, Addy.”

Adeena wanted to tell him that she minded it, very much.

But when her eyes met his, she could not bring herself to say it out loud. She suddenly became
nervous, and her heart beat rapidly.

“Mr, Mr. Winters, I just remembered having something to do. I‘ll excuse myself!”

She took her handbag and left swiftly. No matter what she tried to make it look like, she was definitely
running away from Duke. He touched his chin gently as he smiled a little.

‘Even though Addy lost her memories, her feelings remained. Whenever I lean into her, she‘ll be at a
loss.

‘Oh, Addy. She‘s still the same Addy four years ago...‘ He stood up and went to the reception room. He
headed directly to the elevator.

Jack rushed over. “Mr. Winters, there‘s a transnational meeting that you need to chair in person.”

“Postpone it.” He strode into the elevator.

Early in the morning, he heard that George and Alden were investigating the Willis family. He needed to
go back and stop them.

In twenty minutes, he reached the front gate of the mansion.



Colin greeted him, feeling shocked. “Sir, why are you back already?”

He opened the door and got out of his car. “Are George and Alden home?”

Colin shook her head. “Both of them went to the office. Harold is resting at home, and Melody is
practicing piano.”

Duke narrowed his eyes and quickly got back into his car.

Colin was confused. Duke came back and went out again in a hurry. He returned to the mansion and
saw Harold lying on the balcony floor. He was talking to someone on the phone, looking secretive. For
the past few days, the children had looked a little odd.

“Uncle Daniel, I‘ve got your work covered in the morning. Help me send some things for her…” Harold
lay on the balcony floor as he held his phone and said, “I can’t help you with your work yet, but I have
George. I’ve sent him to go for your meetings in Jones Corporation. You know how good he is at work.
He won’t mess up.”

Daniel frowned suspiciously, “Does George know that you are forcing me to give something to a
woman every day?”

“He’s the one who personally chose the high heels.” He smiled.

“Uncle Daniel, just do us a favor, okay? Daddy won’t make things difficult for you!”

Daniel became even more puzzled, “Who is this Ms. Willis? Who is she to stir you guys up like that so
much?”

“Don’t ask. You’ll know in a few days.” Harold urged, “ You must give it to her, okay? Bye!”

He hung up after saying this.



Daniel frowned. ‘I thought I’m smart, but until now, I can’t figure out what’s between Ms. Willis and the
Winters family.‘

‘But since George knows it and Duke lets him do it, I guess I can only continue to be a person who
sends her a gift who doesn’t have any feelings for her…”

“Mr. Wilson!”

A clear and melodious voice called out to him.

He put his phone into his pocket and bent over to pick up the gift box on the ground. She then walked
over and said, “Ms. Willis, we meet again.”

Ruth fiddled with her finger. She did not dare to meet his gaze. She had not expected Daniel to call her
to go on a date with her.
