She just wanted her Uncle Dillon to teach Adina a lesson. Was it that difficult?
“Uncle Dillon, do you know that this woman’s really vicious? She’s extremely arrogant because of her
beauty. She even insulted us by calling me ugly and the Jones family rude.”
“Is that true?” Dillon’s expression darkened.
“How dare she torment the Jones family. Is she trying to disrespect us?”
“Have you heard of the most beautiful woman in Sea City, Uncle Dillon? She’s gorgeous, but she
shouldn’t insult us like this.” Jasmine faked her tears while she took out her phone and tapped on a
photo.
“Look, she seems so sycophantic. My boyfriend’s attracted to her because she used many tricks to
seduce him. I really love my boyfriend. Uncle Dillon, you have to avenge me!”
She kept talking but did not receive any reply.
When she turned around, she saw Dillon staring at her phone screen. He even reached out to grab her
phone. Jasmine was confused, so she frowned and asked, “Uncle Dillon, what’s wrong?”
Dillon barely gulped before he slowly asked, ‘Who did you say the girl was?”
“She’s the most beautiful woman in Sea City, and she shows up in the local headlines from time to
time. She uses her beauty to be with different men. I even heard that she has two illegitimate kids.”
“Shut up!”
Dillon yelled at Jasmine coldly, scaring her.
As far as she knew, her Uncle Dillon was very gentle. No matter what happened, he would never lose
his temper. It was his first time speaking to her in such a stern tone. Her eyes turned red as she bit her
bottom lip and asked, “Uncle Dillon, did I say something wrong?”
“You’re a lady, but you’re insulting another girl behind her back. Perhaps this girl was right. The Jones
family didn’t raise you well.” Jasmine instantly widened her eyes.
“Uncle Dillon, you’re actually speaking up for a b*tch who bullied me? She stole my boyfriend. Why
can’t I criticize her?”
“I don’t want to hear the word ‘b*tch’ again.” Dillon gave her a look before he threw the phone over at
her and walked away in a hurry.
Jasmine held her phone and stomped her foot in anger.
Uncle Dillon had wanted to help vent her anger, but why did he completely change his mind after he
saw Adina’s picture?
Mrs. Winters took the children to the ward and visited Duke.
She had some booklets in her hand, which she then placed in front of Adina. She smiled and said,
“This is the wedding set up, this is the style of the wedding dress, this is the second style for the dress,
this is the jewelry that you’ll wear on your engagement day, and this is the setting for the dessert table.
Just pick your favorite and let me know. I‘ll get them to arrange it.”
When Adina looked at the one dozen booklets, she felt restless.
They were just getting engaged. Were they not making too much of a fuss? “Mom, I discussed it with
Addy,” Duke said.
“A simple engagement party would be great. We’ll have a grand wedding later.” Mrs. Winters had a
look of disapproval.
“No way. The Winters family hasn’t had a party in twenty years. We have to make it a grand one this
time. We need to let everyone in Sea City know about our family’s great news!”
Just as Duke was about to continue convincing Mrs. Winters, Adina suddenly pulled his arm. She
passed him her phone, narrowed her eyes, and said, “Our engagement is on the headlines in Sea
City.”
Mrs. Winters was stunned, and she immediately explained, “I just told a few close friends about the
engagement. They wouldn’t expose it to the media.”
Adina and Duke stared at each other. They had also told a few relatives and friends, but those people
wouldn’t say anything to the media.
So, who had exposed their engagement?
