Harold kicked the room door open, put his hands on his waist, and yelled, “My mommy isn‘t a member
of the Daugherty family. Why should she care about them? Besides, my mommy isn‘t a joke. Aunt
Mandy, stop talking nonsense!”

Mandy looked extremely embarrassed . She had not just been caught bad–mouthing, but a four–year–

biological father is my grandpa, Dillon Jones. He‘ll hold a reunion banquet in three days. You‘re sick, so

Adina chuckled and shook her head. “She‘s your grandma‘s guest. If your grandma wants to see her,
she‘ll still be able to come to our house.”

She already knew what Mandy had said about her before the kids told her.
