The Green Tea’s Crushing Victories in the ’70s Chapter 439

Chapter 439 - Tong Xuelu lit a candle for him secretly. (2)
At this day and age, there are no bathrooms or toilets inside the guest bedrooms. One would need to go downstairs to bathe. That being said, there are public bathrooms on the second floor.
Wen Rugui returned from his bath when Tong Xuelu finished preparing the noodles.
Wen Rugui smelled good after his bath and a portion of his long, white neck could be seen. Tong Xuelu glanced at his Adam's apple.
Her eyes then drifted downward and landed on his strong chest and skinny waist and abdomen region.
Even through his clothes, she wanted to wolf whistle at him.
For sure there was a female hooligan within her.
Wen Rugui’s body burned under her gaze and ears and cheeks reddened again.
Tong Xuelu worried that he would combust spontaneously if she kept on looking at him. She pushed the noodles over to him and said, “Here.”
When Wen Rugui took the bowl from her, Tong Xuelu ran her finger over his palm quickly. His hand shuddered and he almost dropped the bowl.
Tong Xuelu put on an innocent look when she saw that. “What’s the matter? Are you cold?”
Wen Rugui blushed and shook his head. “No.”
She only touched him accidentally but he got all sorts of ideas. He almost wanted to hold her hand.
He was such a shameless hooligan!
Tong Xuelu had no idea that he was frowning on himself secretly. When he finished the noodles, she said, “Okay, can you now tell me what are you doing here?”
Wen Rugui looked at her with his black eyes. “I, worry about you.”
Of course he wasn’t going to tell her that he didn’t trust Jackson.
Tong Xuelu’s heart was warm. “So did you really misplace your referral letter?”
An embarrassed look flashed past Wen Rugui. “No.”
Tong Xuelu raised her brows, “Then why did you say you did?”
Wen Rugui lowered his black eyelashes. “I wanted to see you.”
He wouldn’t have been able to see her had he not say that and the server for certain would have told him to go to another hotel.
He sounded very pitiful when he said that, like a poor child who didn’t get his candies.
Tong Xuelu’s heart softened instantly. “Hurry up and bring the bowl downstairs. We should go to bed.”
We should go to bed.
Go.
To bed.
Wen Rugui was dazed when he heard that and his heart throbbed uncontrollably.
Seeing his dazed look, Tong Xuelu covered her mouth and smiled. She removed her coat in front of him.
Now even Wen Rugui’s neck turned red. He lowered his eyes, grabbed the bowl and chopsticks and dashed out the door.
Tong Xuelu chuckled as she rolled under the blanket.
Sometimes even she thought that she was an evil woman. She loved teasing him and watching him blush and his heart pound.
Wen Rugui brought the bowl downstairs and he stood outside for quite a while. He only returned after his face had stopped burning.
Watching him come inside, Tong Xuelu pouted and said, “I thought you are never coming back.”
Wen Rugui dared not look at her at all. “Hurry up and go to sleep. You have a busy day ahead of you.”
Tong Xuelu, “Look up.”
Wen Rugui had no idea what she was going to do but he listened to her docilely.
Tong Xuelu blew him a kiss. “G’nite, darling.”
FOOM!
Wen Rugui’s cheeks, ears, and neck all turned red visibly. All the effort of him going outside to cool down was moot.
Tong Xuelu smiled and laid down.
Wen Rugui stood where he was for quite a while before he finally recollected himself. He turned the lights off and walked over to his bed awkwardly.
He turned to look at Tong Xuelu’s bed in the dark and his lips curved.
He said silently, “G’nite, darling.”
Tong Xuelu slept very well that night. In fact, she slept so soundly that she didn’t even dream.
It was, however, torturous for Wen Rugui.
With Tong Xuelu sleeping in the bed next to him, his heart would not stop pounding. He was tried but he couldn’t sleep.
He also worried that others would discover the two of them staying in the same room the next morning should he fell asleep.
In his half-asleep state, he had a dream.
