The Green Tea’s Crushing Victories in the ’70s Chapter 392

Chapter 392 - She will never tell that to anyone. (1)
Shen Wanrong was laundering clothes and sheets in the backyard when Tong Xuelu arrived home with Tong Jiaming.
Shen Wanrong smiled when she saw them. “Oh, you are back. Hurry up and get inside, Jiaming. Wind is bad for you!”
Tong Jiaming listened to her and went inside the house by himself.
“Thank you, Grandma Shen. And for laundering the sheets for us.”
Shen Wanrong smiled and said, “Don’t mention it. What else am I doing anyway? Zhuzhu’s grandpa made breakfast and there are some leftovers. Have you eaten yet?”
Tong Xuelu put down the stuff that she was holding, washed her hands, and went to join Shen Wanrong. “Yes, we have eaten. Jiaxin didn’t go to school today, did he?”
Shen Wanrong shook her head. “No, he didn’t. Both Jiaxin and Mianmian look well-spirited. I don’t think they were infected. But, for safety’s sake, let’s keep them at home for a few more days.”
Tong Xuelu agreed with her. They wouldn’t want them spreading it to other kids at school if one or both of them were infected.
After laundering the clothes, Tong Xuelu and Shen Wanrong wiped down the entire house inside and out with hot water.
Tong Mianmian noticed that her Big Sister never hugged her since she had gotten home and tears welled up in her big eyes. “Mianmian will be a good girl, Big Sister. I won’t cause any trouble. Don’t leave, Big Sister.”
She still remembered how her parents had left and never returned. She worried the same thing would happen to her Big Sister and Big Brother.
Tong Jiaxin’s eyes, too, widened. He was quite worried since the night before.
He worried that his Big Brother wouldn’t make it. He worried that his Big Sister would abandon them. All sorts of crazy ideas went through his head.
Tong Xuelu rubbed their heads. “Don’t worry. Big Sister won’t leave and your Second Brother is okay. He’s just ill right now. Stay away from him for the time being or you will get sick and break out as well.”
Tong Mianmian’s mouth formed into an “O” and there were still tears on her eyelash. “Mianmian doesn’t want to break out. Breaking out will make her as ugly as Third Brother.”
“……”
Tong Jiaxin was sad right now and didn’t expected that his sister would jab at him like that out of the blue.
He looked dazed.
Tong Xuelu couldn't help but busted out laughing. “Good. Don’t go inside your Second Brother’s room if you don’t want to break out. You hear me?”
Tong Jiaxin and Tong Mianmian both nodded.
Tong Xuelu made some snacks and buns before she left for work.

Beihe Province, Eighth Production Team of Red Flag Commune.
Xie Jinhua sat on heatable brick bed looking displeased. “Didn’t Da Huzi phone the troop already? Why hasn’t Commander Xiao arrive yet?”
Tong Erzhu picked his ear with his finger. “Mom, Da Huzi is just a platoon leader. We are talking about a captain here. Do you really think he will be able to influence what the commander wants to do?”
Feng Zhaodi, her second daughter-in-law said, “Mom, you sure that Commander Xiao is aunty’s old lover? Perhaps you are mistaken.”
Xie Jinhua’s triangular eyes lit up. “I certainly didn’t! He looked exactly the same as before and have the same name. How could I have mistaken? Why else would he want to come over if I was mistaken?”
Feng Zhaodi nodded, “That makes sense too. I only worry that he would not believe that Guangtian is his son.”
Tong Erzhu was disgruntled. “Mom, I am telling you. You should have me go pretend to be his son. Why are we letting your nephew take advantage of this opportunity?”
Xie Jinhua gave him a stare. “Would I put Guangtian up for it if you look even just a teeny little bit like your dead aunt?”
This whole Commander Xiao thing started about 2 weeks ago.
Da Huzi on the Production Team became the platoon leader in his troop and brought home a photo of the troop when he returned. The Tong family went over to check it out as well.
When Xie Jinhua saw Commander Xiao in the photo, she was stunned.
Wasn’t that Tong Menzhi’s old lover? He didn’t die back then and he joined the military?
She quickly found out more from Da Huzi. And more surprised installed for her as she found out more.
Not only did that Xiao guy become a commander, he had never married!
After she had returned home, she thought about it long and hard and felt that this was a golden opportunity for the Tong family to make a come back!
