The Green Tea’s Crushing Victories in the ’70s Chapter 345

Chapter 345 - She wanted to spend money on her Big Sister. She had lots of money! (3)
Uncle Zong stopped him again. “Calm down, Commander. Let’s talk things out!”
Old Mr. Wen took a deep breath. “Do as I say. We will head over to the Tong’s and propose tomorrow.” Tong Xuelu might be of child if they wait any longer!
Wen Rugui shook his head. “I can’t do that, Grandpa. Both parties need to consent to a marriage. Besides, I doubt Xuelu would want me to propose to her simply because I had massaged her calves.”
What?
Massaged her calves?
Both Old Mr. Wen and Uncle Zong were dazed.
All those shameless noises that they had made upstairs was just from him massaging her calves?
Looking at the two of them, Wen Rugui frowned slightly. “Grandpa, Uncle Zong, had there been some sort of a misunderstanding?”
The more he thought about it, the more he felt that something was off.
They were both very affectionate with Tong Xuelu at the beginning. Yet they dared not looking Tong Xuelu in her eyes ever since they had came back downstairs. And they gave him the cold shoulder.
Now they were calling him an animal and telling him to go propose to Tong Xuelu. Did they think they were …… upstairs?
The thought put an incredulous look on Wen Rugui. “Grandpa, Uncle Zong, how could you have such unclean thoughts?”
“……”
Old Mr. Wen and Uncle Zong both blushed at the same time.
The living room went silent for a few seconds.
Old Mr. Wen cleared his throat and said, “Oh, I just remembered. Lao Jiang asked me to go play chess with him. I better hurry.”
He dashed out of there after he had said that.
Uncle Zong, “……”
Commander, that was not cool!
How could him leave him there with Wen Rugui alone at times like this?
***
Tong Xuelu’s life returned to normal after Wen Rugui had returned to the base.
She went to pick up the photos from the photography studio three days later.
What do you know? When a person was good looking. They would still look pretty in photos despite the poor equipment.
Tong Xuelu liked the photo of the two of them together the best.
In the photo, she was sitting on a chair and Wen Rugui was standing behind her. His hand resting gently on her shoulder.
The photographer wasn’t half bad. He captured the moment of Wen Rugui’s tendered and recorded it on the photograph.
Tong Xuelu put the photos back into the envelope and mailed one set to Wen Rugui.
The Tong’s siblings were all stunned when they saw the photos that Tong Xuelu had brought home with her.
Tong Mianmian’s big, limpid eyes were widened and she looked shocked. “Big Sister, how did you get inside there?”
It was then when it occurred to Tong Xuelu that the little bun had never seen a photo nor had ever had one taken before.
She rubbed her on her head. “This is a photograph. It’s like a mirror. Our image will appear in it and taking a photograph means capturing it and keeping it forever.”
Tong Mianmian cocked her head. Obviously, that was too much for her to comprehend.
That, however, did not stop her from being curious and desiring it.
Tong Jiaming and Tong Jiaxin, too, looked at the photograph longingly.
Tong Xuelu gave it some thought and said, “It’s National Holiday next week. Let’s go and have our family portrait taken then.”
Tong Jiaxin whipped his head up. “Do you mean that, Big Sister?”
Tong Xuelu nodded. “Of course. You all have allowance, right? If you want to have your individual portrait taken, you can use your own money on that.”
Tong Jiaming was tempted when he heard that.
Tong Jiaxin, however, felt a bit pain.
Tong Jiaxin might be the naughty one but he was also the most frugal one of the three of them.
Of all the monthly allowances that he had received from Tong Xuelu, he had never spent any of them. He put away every penny of them.
Tong Jiaming, as the oldest brother, would occasionally but something for his younger brother and sister. When they run out of soy sauce, etc., at home, he would sometimes pay out of his own pocket as well. As such, he was the one with the least saving.
Tong Mianmian thrusted out her chest and said in her milky voice. “Big Sister, Mianmian will take photo with you. Mianmian has money!”
Tong Xuelu couldn't help but busted out laughing. “Okay. Big Sister is so happy that she gets to take an extra photo because of you.”
When Tong Mianmian heard that, she thrusted her chest out even more.
She wanted to spend money on her Big Sister. She had lots of money!
