Chapter 6111: What Are You?
Li Qiye teleported into the temple’s deepest crevices, prompting a majestic figure to turn around - Darkmoon Temple Lord.
This being appeared large enough to shoulder the world. Behind him was an endless expanse under his dominion.
A moon floated behind him; its dark light proliferated the expanse and made him look more imposing. His sacred affinity had no semblance of a ghost.
“Who are you?!” He shouted at Li Qiye with his eyes wide open. Strangely enough, the pupils were dull and lifeless.
A grand ghost or an emperor always had divinity in their eyes. This temple lord had a type of death affinity instead.
Of course, it would make sense for a ghost to have the death affinity. The major ghost market was an exception - its ghosts had a unique spirituality that was not present in Darkmoon Temple Lord.
In other words, the ghosts here had a form of life while this character seemed to be dead.
“What are you?” Li Qiye answered with a question.
“Death to you, intruder!” He roared furiously and grabbed a handful of lunar particles.
“Meteor Rain!” He swung it forward and the particles became meteors, flying toward Li Qiye while leaving fiery trails behind. The moon joined the fray; its dark light suppressed all affinities within the expanse.
Li Qiye easily dealt with the attack by waving his hand, crushing the meteors and the moon in the blink of an eye.
“Bam!” Before the temple lord could express his astonishment, Li Qiye stomped him down.
“Aaa!” He roared and attempted to get up but Li Qiye added more force and crushed his bones.
Despite his struggle and roars, he was not in pain. The broken body didn’t seem to be his.
Li Qiye’s brows furrowed as he began to use his hand like a blade, cutting the temple lord into two halves.
What’s inside would frighten spectators and make them have goosebumps all over - numerous white strings squirming like parasites. The temple lord had become a puppet long ago.
“Where will you run now?” Li Qiye snorted and unleashed a torrent of primordial rays. They had an intense form, almost liquid-like. They were smaller and invaded the white parasites.
“Ooo-” They roared and struggled to no avail.
“Boom!” Aware of the fatal danger, they immediately self-imploded.
A figure flew out of the body, wanting to run like a cicada shedding its shell. However, escaping from Li Qiye was nigh impossible.
“Bam!” He raised his hand and immobilized the figure to the ground.
“Please spare me, Sir!” The figure shouted.
Li Qiye stomped on his chest and said: “Still dare to run?”
“Of course not, how can I escape your grasp, Sir?” The figure understood his situation and became obedient.
Upon closer inspection, he was a muscular individual emitting a lunar light. One could hear the roar of dragons and most importantly, notice strands of imperial auras.
He was not a present emperor but a True Emperor from the previous epoch.
“Let me guess who you are.” Li Qiye said.
“No need, Sir, I am Coiling Moon, your reputation precedes you.” The man said.
“Coiling Moon True Emperor.” Li Qiye lifted his foot.
The man got up and wiped the dust off his robe before speaking: “I do not dare claim to be an emperor before you, I am just a nobody.”
There existed a dao lineage known as Coiling Dragon during the previous epoch. Praymoon Sect eventually took over internally, and Coiling Moon True Emperor played a large part.
He first claimed to be from Coiling Dragon, rising to the highest rank. In reality, he originated from Praymoon and had nothing to do with Coiling Dragon.
He didn’t dare to run because he knew he was facing a legendary monster.
“You have thick skin, a True Emperor playing the role of a puppet master.” Li Qiye said.
“Umm…” He turned red and smiled wryly: “I was lucky to survive, this attachment is just one way to go on.”
Li Qiye sneered in response.
He became afraid and told the truth: “I coveted the treasures here and bet against the previous temple lord. I lost and was taken over.”
