Chapter 6080: Was A Master Aiding Them?
Bloodsparrow and Yangrune couldn’t refuse after listening to Tranquility, and the same for Disaster and Endlaw.
“I accept the decree.” Bloodsparrow bowed and left the scene. As an apex emperor, she didn’t need to obey a stronger emperor. This was merely out of respect.
“Fine, next time then.” Disaster sheathed his sword.
“Brother, the world rejoices at your presence.” Endlaw said.
“And the same applies to you, Dao Brother.” Tranquility returned the gesture.
Endlaw glanced at Darkmoon Temple and the plant before sighing. Nevertheless, he left without an attempt.
“State the time and place, I will be ready.” Yangrune bowed in the direction of Tranquility’s voice before telling Disaster. He then entered Darkmoon without any hesitation.
“Very well, I will wait for you to come out then.” Disaster was not afraid.
Tranquility’s interference prevented an all-out war between Immortal Suppression and Enigma.
“It’s still okay.” Cultivators heaved a sigh of relief. They felt slightly sad about not witnessing a top battle but still knew the outcome would be devastating to everyone.
“Tranquility Emperor is a great man.” Another remarked - the reason why more people respected Tranquility than Immortal Suppressor.

Li Qiye and Six-style crossed through Forest of Thoughts and made it to Heavenfall. This was an expanse of clouds with low visibility. All prying eyes were blocked.
“This is Heavenfall.” Six-style said.
Li Qiye closed his eyes and sensed this region while enjoying the gentle breezes. Nothing seemed out of place, and no sign of danger either.
“Something’s amiss.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“How so, Young Noble?” Mortal or otherwise, Six-style couldn’t sense anything wrong with Heavenfall.
“It’s been swept clean of any trace. How strange.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“If this was the battlefield, it must have been obliterated.” Six-style looked around and didn’t see any destruction.
“There was destruction, but it’s different.” Li Qiye brought her into the expanse.
“Pop!” The moment they stepped inside, the white clouds were replaced by a black liquid.
“Buzz.” It engulfed the group but Li Qiye blocked it with his primordial light. It relentlessly attacked, wanting to reach the targets.
Six-style shuddered in horror since she felt as if she had fallen into the eighteen levels of hell. The black liquid could drag anyone down to the depths and subject them to eternal imprisonment.
As long as one had thoughts and desires, it became impossible to resist the black liquid’s corrosive affinity from turning them into devils.
“What is this thing?” She shuddered. Virtues and emotions could be turned into darkness and evil without a firm dao heart.
“Heavenfall is a remnant of Soulcast Land, that’s all.” Li Qiye shook his head and said: “How did they cross it though? Given their strength, they must have suffered heavy losses before a fight. Something for passage must have been given.”
“So the target was hiding behind Heavenfall, using it as an uncrossable moat. Progenitors couldn’t get through without paying a heavy price.” Six-style laid out the circumstances.
Li Qiye found it interesting because although Gao Yang, Xian Baihui, Wang Yangming, and the others were powerful, they couldn’t get past this place unscathed. After all, this was a remnant region of one of the six redemption grounds.
Someone capable of helping them get through must have been considerably stronger. However, this possibility wasn’t high because if the person were this strong, they wouldn’t have needed the progenitors’ help.
The only explanation was either someone opened a back door or a shortcut was available. Only a few could have done this but it wouldn’t make sense.
“Do you think a master aided them, Young Noble?” Six-style became curious.
“I’m afraid it wasn’t possible then.” Li Qiye shook his head: “Those old men haven’t turned against each other yet. Opening a back door meant a life-or-death situation, but this didn’t seem to be the case.”
After crossing through Heavenfall, the liquid disappeared and felt like just an illusion.
“It’s the darkness hiding deep in your heart. Once you see it, you’ve entered your inner world and it can take advantage of the vulnerability.” Li Qiye said.
Six-style knew she would have been invaded and corrupted by it without Li Qiye’s barrier. What kind of abomination would she have turned into?
They stood before an empty battlefield but didn’t notice anything peculiar. It was marred by fractured space and time. Chaotic maelstroms churned instead of laws.
