Chapter 6042: Silver Dragon Mecha’s Head
Ancestor Kundali’s origin remained a mystery. He joined Phantom after losing in a duel against Specter Ancestor since they became friends in the process.
Six-style heard rumors of him being on the limit path. News of him stopped afterward and he didn’t appear any longer.
If he had broken through the limit, he would become a heaven slayer. The waves from this ascension would alarm everyone as long as he were still in Sin. Some also speculated that he might have left Sin for Old World.
It appeared that he was still here, yet to break the limit. Nevertheless, she didn’t dare to underestimate his power.
“The magpies chattered nonstop since early morning, so it was because of a distinguished guest such as yourself, Young Noble. Your presence honors my humble abode. Unfortunately, all I can offer you is a cup of tea in this wilderness.” Kundali bowed. [1]
“Why not?” Li Qiye glanced at the tea tree and said.
“Today is a joyous one indeed, to be able to share a drink with the young noble and Fellow Daoist Six-style.” He happily laughed and prepared a stove beneath the tree.
A moment later, steam rose and a tea fragrance enveloped the peak. This looked like a scene of immortals depicted by the tales of the mortal realm.
Li Qiye and Six-style sat down while Kundali brought over tea cups. Metallic harmonies could be heard within the steaming hot tea.
“Please.” He offered.
The two took a sip and when the liquid entered the mouth at first, it had the sharpness of a blade or an arrow. This instantly changed to a soft and silky tea fragrance penetrating and comforting all parts of the body.
“It’s good.” Six-style praised.
Li Qiye smiled and didn’t respond.
“It’s taken from this tree, one of a kind.” Kundali said.
“There is no second since it grew here, the soil and land allow its maturity, other places can’t do the same.” Li Qiye commented.
“That is indeed the case, Young Noble.” Kundali responded.
“Judging by your origin, looks like I’ve come to the right place, I have something to ask you.” Li Qiye smiled.
Kundali’s expression turned serious but he quickly recovered and smiled: “Feel free to ask me anything, I will answer to the best of my ability.”
“Is that so?” Li Qiye smirked and placed the badge taken from the Liu Clan on the table.
“May I take a closer look?” Kundali said seriously.
Li Qiye nodded and he picked up the badge. After confirming its authenticity, he returned it to Li Qiye and said: “I apologize if I’m being rude, but I don’t think this badge belongs to you.”
“Yes, it is from the Liu, a token for an agreement left behind by their saber saint.” Li Qiye nodded.
“Everything from that time has been lost, I don’t think anyone knows about it anymore or the agreement behind this token.” Kundali shook his head and said.
“Are you sure? You forgot as well?” Li Qiye smiled.
“The people from that time are no longer in this world, what I know might not be accurate at all. I don’t want to mislead you by sprouting false information.” Kundali bowed.
“I think you know more than you’re letting on.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“You’re being too kind, Young Noble.” Kundali smiled wryly: “I’m just a small fish in a small pond, nothing compared to the wise sages of the past. How could I possibly know such an ancient matter?”
“Would you like me to pry it out of you?” Li Qiye said casually and raised his hand.
The entire peak lit up afterward after a loud blast. Six-style felt that the peak had been uprooted. It didn’t matter the existing seal and heaven-defying method employed here, Li Qiye could lift this peak off its foundation without any problem.
“Buzz.” Rays of light intertwined in the sky and formed a shocking image of a gigantic skull with ghastly eye sockets.
Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be made from some kind of metal, not bones. At the bottom was an incredibly smooth cut - decapitation from a single stroke. It painted a slash with flawless precision, settling the fight at that moment.
“Do I need to dig it out? It wasn’t a bad method to bury it beneath this peak, many sealing layers too.” Li Qiye smiled.
“Please don’t trouble yourself, Young Noble, they’re just scrap metals that are not worth your time.” Kundali hurriedly said.
“So the head of Silver Dragon Mecha is considered scrap metals now?” Li Qiye chuckled.
Kundali’s expression changed drastically while Six-style took a deep breath.
This mecha was a legendary overlord, so powerful that many ancient ancestors couldn’t beat it.
