These two people were playing good cop, bad cop!
Walter’s tone even sounded like he was giving money to chase away a beggar. ‘A million dollars, what
a nobleman!’ Molly listened and started to find them repulsive as she said in a deep voice. “Grandpa is
the one to decide whether I have the right to own it or not. Just as you said, they belong to grandpa!
Since you have no say over this, stop bugging me. I don’t think I have anything else to talk about with
you people. Grandpa is unconscious in the hospital, so I don’t want to argue about this here.”
Walter was livid!
He yelled, “Know your place, Molly! Do you think your grandfather will protect you forever? Even if you
get the shares, they’re nothing but pieces of paper if I don’t approve of it!”
“Is that so? Go ahead and give it a try.” Molly was also getting angry as she said sternly.
Their voices got too loud and caught the nurse’s attention, so she came in to warn them. “This is the
hospital. Though this is a single room, I hope you can tone it down and be considerate of other
patients, alright?” They then kept quiet after listening to the nurse. “Sorry, miss. We’ll be more mindful
of our volume,” Nathan apologized politely.
The nurse then closed the door and left.
“Mm…” At the same time, Grandpa Dave woke up.
Everybody quickly surrounded him, circling around his bed, their faces filled with concern.
“You’re finally awake, Dad! Are you feeling unwell? You really scared us!” Lara patted her chest as she
let out a sigh of relief.
“Dad, we told you to stop wearing yourself out. Isn’t it nice to just stay at home and rest? You just love
going out, don’t you?” Walter could not help but say that in hopes that Grandpa Dave would change his
mind about moving out. Even Adam had stopped looking at Molly. “Mr. May Sr., I’m Adam. I heard you
got admitted into the hospital, so I came here to visit you.” Molly brought her triplets next to Grandpa
Dave and greeted him, “Grandpa, I brought my kids to see you.”
Grandpa Dave ignored everyone else, but when he heard Molly’s voice, his eyes wandered around to
look for her. When he saw his great-grandchildren, a smile grew across his face as he said, “You little
rascals, you’re all here! I finally met you guys. Come here, let me have a look at you. Did you grow
taller? Oh, my darlings…” “Great-grandpa!” the triplets called out to Grandpa Dave lovingly as they
hurled next to his bed. Their faces were all looking very concerned. Alex asked, “How are you feeling
now, Great-grandpa?”
“Where does it hurt? I’ll blow on your bruises if it hurts,” Claudia said adorably. Grandpa Dave was over
the moon when he heard them caring for him. “I’m fine. I just fell and hurt my back a little. It’s no big
deal.”
The triplets nodded in response.
Claudia said, “Mommy can treat you if your back is unwell. I guarantee you’ll be way stronger, Great-
grandpa!” “I’ll also go on walks with you to make your muscles more active, Great-grandpa,” Ben raised
his arms as he pursed his lips and promised Grandpa Dave. Alex chimed in and said, “I’ll cook tasty
food for you, Great-grandpa.” Grandpa Dave felt like he was on cloud nine when the triplets were
surrounding him warmly. His mood was immediately elevated as he struggled to sit himself up. Molly
stepped forward to help him out with his sitting posture.
