Chapter 869Chapter 869
Caden's school was not located in Northfolk, and it took two hours for Molly to drive there!
It was already close to eleven when she arrived at the school.
Molly went inside. She saw Caden's teacher and worriedly asked, "Teacher, why would Caden drop out without any reason?"
The teacher told Molly what happened with Caden after meeting with her.
"Ms. May, calm down. Listen to me.
"Some time ago, Caden said that he was not feeling well, and he kept taking leave from school. Even though I thought that it
would affect his studies, I approved his requests anyway, considering that his health was more important.
"But, whenever he got back to school after taking leaves, he would either sleep or be on his phone! I suspected that Caden might
be addicted to video games or something, so I lectured him because I was worried that it might affect his studies. I would never
expect him to say that he wants to drop out after that."
The teacher's tone became softer as she explained to Molly apologetically. "Ms. May, I didn't mean to scold Caden. I just wanted
him to focus on his studies! After all, his grades have been excellent, and he would always be one of the top students in the
entire grade. I was very worried after seeing the sudden change in him. That's why I criticized his actions. I didn't know he would
do this at all! I.."
The teacher's voice choked as she said that.
She thought that Caden got mad and stopped going to school because she scolded him!
She felt very guilty as his teacher.
Molly felt very anxious too, after hearing what the teacher told her. However, she knew that it had nothing to do with the teacher. Molly knew very well that Caden was not
a sensitive person like that.
'Something bad must have happened!'
Molly thought of that, but she tried to make the teacher feel better anyway. "Teacher, don't blame
yourself. This has nothing to do with you. I'm pretty sure that something else happened to Caden, and
that's why he acted like that. Don't worry. I'll talk to him about it."
After that, Molly went away from the teacher and dialed Caden's number.
However, Molly heard a pre-recorded female's voice. "Sorry, the phone you have dialed is switched
off." 'He switched off his phone?'
Molly could not help but feel nervous. She had been too busy recently.
Even though she could call Caden from time to time, it was not frequent.
Besides, she would only ask him about his studies and grades...
But, Caden would always give her the same response. He would tell Molly that everything was fine,
and she would not have to worry about anything.
Molly knew that Caden was a sensible kid, so she was not very concerned about him.
Who knew... that this would happen?!
Molly called Caden a few times more after that.
But, none of the calls got through.Molly had no other option. She turned around and apologized to the teacher, "I'm so sorry. I can't contact Caden either, but I'll be
sure to take care of this!
"Caden is my brother, and I know his characteristics very well. He's not the kind of person who would skip school for no reason. I
think he's probably facing some difficulties, so I hope the school can give me some time and not let him drop out."
The teacher nodded understandably after hearing what Molly said. "That's possible. I'll just talk to my superior about it. However,
Ms. May, you've got to know that studies are very important to a child. You must solve this as soon as possible. Otherwise, I’m
afraid that his grades will be affected!"
Molly could tell that the teacher was a very responsible person.
She nodded, smiled, and reassured her, "Don't worry. I'll get this fixed as soon as I can!"
Then, she turned around and left.
After leaving the school, Molly decided to look for Caden in his rented apartment.
Caden was an introvert, and he did not like to socialize. So, he would stay in his apartment whenever he had nothing to do.
Unexpectedly, Molly saw an empty house when she arrived at Caden's place.
Every single thing in the house was taken away!
