Chapter 397Chapter 397
Ricky knew that Sean would have a problem with this. He reminded Sean sternly, “Business is business.
I guess you probably know that I’m very optimistic about this project. I need you to work with the
Newman family.
“The project can be worth more than a hundred billion if everything goes well! The Newman Group alone
will never be able to manage such a huge project. I’m sure that they’ll look for partners. The Newman
family is organizing a banquet tonight. Let’s go there to check things out.”
Ricky was very confident in that project. After all, the Anderson Cooperation was the richest enterprise in
the entire Northfolk.
Sean was still very cold as he said, “I’ll work with them based on the situation.”
He could not make sure that he can help Ricky even if things went wrong during this time.
Ricky stood up while holding his knees. He took the proposal back from Sean before walking back to his
desk. “Okay, carry on with your work, then. I’ll talk to you again at night.”
“Sure.” Sean left Ricky’s office in his wheelchair. Then, Tony, who was waiting outside the door, took over
the wheelchair and pushed Sean back down to his office.
He made himself busy for the whole day. However, he texted Molly when he was working. He told her
that he had a business dinner to attend, and he could not go back home for dinner. He only started to
work again after getting Molly’s reply.
When he got off work in the evening, Ricky asked him to go to the Newman family’s banquet together.
The sky was shrouded in darkness. It was already seven at night when Sean and Ricky arrived at the
banquet.
A lot of people were there, including a few remarkable entrepreneurs. Sean knew who they were.
It seemed like the project the Newman family had was very attractive, and many people were trying to
work with them.
Sean was following behind Ricky. They attracted most of the people’s attraction when they arrived.
“Mr. Anderson, good evening. I didn’t expect you to be here.”
A partner that the Anderson Cooperation worked with came to greet them with a glass of wine in his
hand.
“Ricky, you even brought Sean along. Sean, it’s been so long.” Ricky’s friend came to say hello too.
The Anderson family did need the host to introduce them to the guests on purpose. They would always
become the center of an upper-class social event like that for whatever reason.
The Anderson Family of Northfolk was very influential. However, the hosts usually would not be jealous of them even though they might be getting more
attention than the host themselves.
Everyone knew that a banquet attended by the Andersons would attract more people to come. No matter
whether the host was trying to get closer to the Anderson family or to work with them, the presence of
the Andersons would only do good to the host, who was trying to expand his connections.
Mr. Newman went to Sean and Ricky with his daughter, Sharon. They greeted them pleasantly,
“Welcome, Mr. Anderson.”
As usual, Sharon dressed elegantly and decorously. She said softly after her father, “Hello, Mr.
Anderson.
Hello, Sean.”
She was rather surprised when she saw Sean just now.
After what had happened previously, she went back here right away. Both of them did not cut each other
any slack, so Sharon thought that he would be here today.
She smiled slightly as she looked at Sean’s handsome and aloof complexion. She lifted her eyebrows
and she felt kind of happy.
“Sean is still so young, yet he is very calm and composed. Not bad.”
Mr. Newman praised Sean. That was his first-time meeting Sean at such a close distance.
For people as capable as Sean, one could only feel how imposing and powerful they were. Their
presence was just different from an average person! He figured that there was no need to compliment Sean’s business capabilities because everyone that
greeted them before him already said the same thing.
Everyone else left after they saw Mr. Newman. However, Ricky’s friend pulled Ricky to the side to
discuss something.
