Chapter 460Triplets on Secret Mission Chapter 460
Chapter 460 One of them invited Michael to join them, but Michael rejected him as he sat in his seat without
moving.
Richard took his chance and went to talk to him.
"Mr. Michael, I heard you said that you have some ideas, but your nephew rejected them. Is that true?
"Do you think the Noland Group can help you in any way? Richard did not dare to beat around the bush and
said directly because he was worried that Michael could be in a bad mood
"Oh? The Nolands..." Michael was tipsy, but he could still think."
'Is he the father of that girl who Sean had an engagement with?'
He remembered who Richard was as looked at him and said with a smile. "Ah, the Noland Group. Let me think
about it."
Richard was getting a little creeped out while being stared at by Michael. However, he just held his
nose and smiled forcefully.
Nobody in the room dared to treat Michael poorly. In Northfolk, anyone that was a part of the Anderson
family was simply more prestigious than everybody else.
Michael's mood instantly turned better looking at Richard's face, which was put on to please him on
purpose. His rage that was caused by Sean disappeared as he laughed loudly before patting Richard's
shoulder. "I think the Noland Group is good!"His face was red, and his mouth reeked of alcohol.
Richard did not let that bother him after hearing what Michael said. He was delighted as he said with a
smile," Don't worry. Even though the Noland Group isn't better than the Anderson Cooperation, we're
going to do our best in everything that's within our capability."
Because he wanted more than just that.
Richard filled Michael's empty glass with more alcohol after chatting for a while. He handed the glass
back to Michael and said, "Your son hasn't settled down yet, right?"
Michael took the glass as he paused for a second. He glanced at Richard and asked, "What about it?"
He could almost guess what Richard was trying to say, but he took a sip of the alcohol with a straight
face anyway while looking at Richard.
Richard smiled and leaned over to Michael and said," Abigail is my only daughter, and I really want her
to marry a good man."
The Noland family and the Anderson family were friends.
Abigail and Ricky's son, Sean, were a good match. So, Michael's son would be too! Michael slightly
lifted his brows. 'I guess he hasn't given up on the idea of marrying his daughter into the Anderson
family yet.'
He looked at Richard's friendly face and smiled. Michael was not that insensible , after all. He knew
that Richard wanted to marry his daughter to Sean, but Sean rejected the engagement. So, he did not
really suspect Richard or put his guard up now that Richard approached him.
The Noland family was rather respectable at Northfolk, after all.If Abigail was married to Sean, their marriage was only going to help Sean manage the Anderson Cooperation
better. Even more, Sean could have eliminated other rivals and secretly taken full control over the entire
Northfolk easily.
However, that possibility was presented in front of Michael instead.
He had been wanting to take over the Anderson Cooperation for so many years. His wish would have come
true sooner or later if he had the Noland Group’s help.
He would not even have to humble himself to gain
approval from Sean for his proposal, and it would not be rejected in the end.
The financial problems he had overseas would be solved too. He would not have anything else to worry about.
Even though he knew very well that the Noland family was trying to match their status.
However, Michael could not resist himself. The temptation of power and status was just too strong.
He took a new glass and poured Richard some alcohol. He stopped acting arrogant and said with a smile, "I
agree that your daughter has to marry a good man, but I don't think my incompetent son would be a good
match for your daughter."
Richard looked at the alcohol beside him as he tried to stay calm. "You've got to be kidding me. Your son is
just as remarkable as you. Nobody in the Anderson family is incompetent. You're too humble!"
