Chapter 579Chapter 579
"Who in this room isn't a graduate of the world's most prestigious universities? Does she think she is the only one who is the
grandest?"
"She really thinks she's a princess, what a complete, egotistical brat."
The voices around got louder.
When confronted with Molly's attitude, Sharon felt more and more like Molly was machinating against her.
"What's going on? why are you all gathering around here?" Sean had just finished his work at his company and stopped by to
pick up Molly. He saw a group of people gathered together as soon as he entered the research laboratory.
When Sharon saw Sean, it was as if she saw a savior. Her eyes were glinting, and she quickly spoke to
Sean.
"Mr. Anderson, you came right on time. I was accepted into the research laboratory through the regular
procedure. If Dr. May doesn't like me, she can just tell me, why put me in a dispensable position? I
joined the research lab because I want to make a difference, not waste my time here. I hope Mr.
Anderson can help reason this out."
Sharon looked at those who were talking about her just now as if Sean's presence would give her
some fair treatment. But, she did not expect that Sean would not get involved in the research
laboratory's affair.
"Dr. May makes all the decisions in the research laboratory. She is the head of the research laboratory,
and you are to follow her instruction. If you're not happy with the rules of the research laboratory, you
can resign and leave. No one will be forced to stay." Sean did not even ask Molly a question as he
spoke directly to Sharon coldly.Sharon's expression froze, as she did not expect that Sean would defend Molly so much. 'The entire
research laboratory is at Molly's disposal. Do I still have a place here?' she was upset, but she did not
dare to take it out in front of Sean. While she was silent, she heard Sean's frosty voice asking her
again.
"Do you have any more things to say?"
Sharon looked at the straight-faced Molly and pursed her lips. Then, she responded without any
expression on her face. "No. Since Dr. May thinks it is reasonable, I will cooperate."
The hands hanging behind her were clenched together. She decided she would put up with it for now.
When the others saw that there was nothing else, they dispersed and went about their business.
Molly looked at the time, and it was time to leave work. She went to her desk and packed up, then followed Sean out.
"If Sharon's presence is a problem, you can just fire her. Don't trouble yourself."
Molly heard Sean say as soon as she got into the car.
Molly smiled. "You don't really give a damn, do you? She is, at least, someone whom your mother has recommended. You have
got to give her some face." By that, she meant she would not fire Sharon so soon and so easily. After all, she knew how nasty
Mrs. Anderson was. Firing Sharon was easy, but Molly did not make Mrs. Anderson think that this was a means of her trying to
have her son all to herself. The smile on Molly's face grew broader as she thought about it.
But, Sean did not think so. He did not think as much as Molly did.
"The research laboratory was created because of you. You are the head of it, and I care about your feelings." His direct words felt
like a drop of water falling into Molly's heart, creating ripples of warmth inside her.
