Chapter 838 - 838 Transfer to a Private Restaurant
838 Transfer to a Private Restaurant
Qin Man had no idea what was happening, but it was Yao Ran who worried her the most. The girl seemed determined to stay.
If she didn’t go back now, Madam Meng would stop her treatment. What were they supposed to do then?
If Yao Ran’s treatment stopped, she would be a cripple for life, and Qin Man would have to suffer the ridicule of other high-society ladies for having such a daughter.
Thinking of this, Qin Man became more determined to drag Yao Ran back with them.!!
But when she glanced at the two young men in the distance, she felt a chill run down her spine. These were people whom even Madam Meng did not dare offend. Could Qin Man really go against them?
Meanwhile, Madam Meng was furious at Yao Ran’s response. She huffed one last time and wordlessly pulled Meng Ling out the door.
Qin Man had no choice but to follow them, though she would look back at Yao Ran with every step she took.
With the three ladies gone, the staff continued to guide the others to the private room.
In the end, they decided to go to the one Ma Chao had booked, as their party had grown quite significantly.
Once they had settled down inside the room, the manager bowed and apologized again.
“Please accept my sincerest apologies. We are the ones at fault here. I hope that you no longer pay the matter any mind and only enjoy the best things our Chunlai Hotel has to offer from now on.”
Qin Rui and Cheng Yan said nothing.
Instead, they turned in unison toward Qin Jing and Yao Tang, leaving the decision up to the girls.
Yao Tang was her usual, indifferent self, and she merely glanced at the manager without a word.
Qin Jing, on the other hand, put her hands on her waist and glared at the manager.
“So, you want to brush this off with an apology? We were almost chased out and taken to the police! That waiter is absolutely wretched! I don’t want to eat in here anymore!”
“I feel the same way,” Meng Yang suddenly piped up. “This place is giving me a bad vibe.”
As for Lin Xin, although she had been dying to try the hotel’s specialty dishes, the incident had enraged her so much that she lost her appetite.
She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted in displeasure.
It seemed that no one wanted to stay at the Chunlai Hotel anymore.
Ma Chao’s heart was thundering inside his chest.
“I know of a private restaurant,” he suggested. “They are known for their unique menu and excellent service. They always make you feel at home. Why don’t we give that place a try?”
After hearing the man’s words, Cheng Yan turned and gave Ma Chao a look of approval.
Ma Chao was delighted by this, of course. He wasted no time and immediately took out his phone.
“I will make a reservation. We can go there straightaway, and their signature dishes will be waiting to be served at the table when we arrive.”
Yao Tang and her friends readily agreed with the proposal, and Ma Chao stepped out into the hall to make the arrangements.
He called the owner of the other restaurant to book the room and relay the circumstances that had led to this development.
He made sure to give the other man a few words of advice as well.
On the other end of the line, beads of sweat formed on the owner’s forehead as he profusely thanked Ma Chao.
After a few moments, Ma Chao returned to the room.
“A car is waiting outside. We should go. The restaurant staff is eagerly waiting for us.”
It was all the teenagers needed to hear. They all stood up and walked out of the private room.
Out in the lobby, the waiter watched as they filtered out of the hotel. When he thought back to the grievances he had suffered earlier, he grew even more upset.
He walked over to the manager in a huff. “Manager Dong! Why did you have to slap me? I simply misunderstood the situation, that’s why I wasn’t able to give those people their private room. Don’t you even feel sorry for me?”
The man felt wronged. He was only doing what he had always done.
Instead of a generous tip, however, all he had earned were a couple of slaps. Worse still, Manager Dong didn’t even seem to care about their past friendship.
The waiter was disappointed. It appeared that the people were right to call the manager a dog.
“Do you have any idea whom you have offended?” Manager Dong demanded, still visibly furious about the whole debacle.
If he wasn’t mistaken, those teenagers were probably affiliated with the three great families in Beijing. And if they had truly insulted them, the Chunlai Hotel might cease its operations the very next day.
The waiter clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes, clearly unfazed.
“They’re just a bunch of country bumpkins, what’s there to be afraid of? I never imagined you would turn as timid as a mouse. What happened to all your arrogance, huh? So what if I offended a few people? Does that mean that you can just slap me around?”
If Manager Dong had truly found anything wrong with his actions, then why hadn’t the man said anything in the past?
