Chapter 167: They Found the Student
Luo Hua couldn’t quite understand the situation, but he immediately rushed to Yao Ran’s defense.
He couldn’t care any less whether or not Yao Tang had been wronged.
However, now that his favorite student was being dragged into this, his face morphed into that of discontent and annoyance.
“This might explain the situation for you.”
Yao Tang shrugged at his snappy response and tapped on her phone.!!
Suddenly, a screenshot appeared on the screen. The background was quite familiar, and it looked like some kind of dating app.
Upon looking closer, they could see the message.
“Ranran, wait for me on the first floor. I’ll be in the corner. I’ll also send all the things you need to your email.”
“Got it!”
There was an alleged relationship between Yao Ran and this boy, but there was still no way to prove that this same boy was the one who had sent her the exam papers.
Even then, Meng Yang couldn’t help but be confused. He stared deeply at the boy’s profile picture.
Had he seen him before? He looked like…
Ah!
The boy belonged to Class 6. His family had several stores across the city. While he was quite influential in his social circle, he was no match for Meng Yang.
His eyes glittered. “I know the guy,” he stated. “The guy’s Zhou Kai!”
“We’ll call him over!”
The dude was dead! Without another word, he raced down the stairs and toward the dormitory building. There was no way he was going to get away with this.
Yao Ran shivered as the cool wind breezed through them. Her fingers trembled.
What the hell was she going to do now?
“How sure are you that this man is the one who sent the email?” Luo Hua scoffed, still refusing to acknowledge the evidence they had.
“Look at the time then. When he went offline, it was the same time the email had been sent to Yao Ran. The email also had the same username.”
Lin Xin stood in front of the multimedia screen and motioned to the name displayed at the top. She pursed her lips.
Luo Hua was speechless, glancing at Yao Ran.
Feeling their suspicious gazes boring on her back, she felt tears running down her cheeks. “It wasn’t me,” she stuttered, biting her lips. “I wouldn’t do such a thing.”
“How sure are you?” Qin Jing sneered.
Just one look at Yao Ran and she already felt like vomiting. She may appear so innocent, but who would’ve thought that a seemingly good girl would be so vicious? How hateful!
“I’ve already located Yao Ran’s cell phone and found her there. The username has also been traced to her phone. What else do you need?”
Yao Tang’s voice was very cold.
How long were they going to stand here?
“He’s here!”
Xiao Pang could hear the quick footsteps echoing from the stairway. That meant that Meng Yanghad finally returned.
The dormitory building at No. 1 High School was very close to the conference room. However, they didn’t expect that Meng Yang would be this fast!
Everyone glanced at the stairway.
There, they could see Meng Yang dragging a screaming figure toward them. “Let me go! Let me go!” A squeaky voice sounded.
Within a few minutes, they could finally see who it was.
There, they could see a boy in black pajamas being dragged across the pavement. There was a large bear printed at the front of his shirt, making for a funny sight.
His eyebrows were furrowed over, looking like he had just been woken up.
Meng Yang dragged him over, not even catching a break.
As soon as he had finally arrived, he took a deep breath. He looked like a bull who was just about to die of exhaustion. His face was flushed dark red.
“What are you trying to do? I–I’m going to beat you up–just you wait…”
He panted.
He looked very thin compared to Meng Yang.
“We have something to ask you, Student Zhou. I would like you to answer us honestly. Otherwise, you would be facing the consequences of your actions.”
Principal Kong gazed at him calmly.
Immediately, a wave of terror washed across him. He took a deep breath. Was that Principal Kong? Upon seeing him, he screamed and scrambled back.
Fuck! He’d be in deep trouble!
“As long as you answer our questions seriously, you do not have to be punished,” Principal Kong stated.
His voice was emotionless, which was enough to scare the wits out of the young man.
“I–Okay…”
Zhou Kai slowly looked around and saw that Yao Ranwas a part of the crowd. Her eyes were bloodshot, and there were red splotches on her face. She was shivering, looking as if she was going to faint at any second.
What had happened?
