Chapter 735: Jing City

Master Zhang didn’t expect Yao Ran to have her own reasons for looking for President Tan. He paused for a while and turned to her.
If she had wanted to contact him because of Qin Man, he would’ve found it understandable.
However, as she was doing it because of him… He paused for a while.
“And then? What happened?” Master Zhang furrowed his eyebrows, confused.
He didn’t really have any relationship with President Tan, but he surely wouldn’t make it too difficult for a young girl like Ranran, right?!!
Yao Ran’s eyes became even tearier as if she had suffered a great grievance. She bowed her head, trying to keep her fists from shaking.
“Cousin didn’t like what I said,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “She even went as far as to say that my mother and I had nothing to do with her and that we shouldn’t just randomly approach our relatives.”
She took a deep breath, struggling to steady herself. “Maybe I really didn’t know any better. I shouldn’t have disturbed them while they were busy. It’s all my fault.”
Before she could finish speaking, Master Zhang jumped from his seat. His cheeks were flushed and his eyes were blazing. He glanced over at President Tan and the other two passengers.
However, at that moment, the trio was already resting.
Qin Man noticed they were talking. As soon as she saw Master Zhang’s furious expression, she hurried over.
“What happened? Did something go wrong?”
“Mom,” Yao Ran whispered. “It’s my fault. I just went over and asked if I could pay extra to change seats, but my cousin didn’t want us to come over. She even snapped at me. It’s all my fault.”
Master Zhang took a deep breath.
President Tan was the one who had kindly let them board the plane.
But that girl—his disciple—truly didn’t know her place!
He couldn’t understand why President Tan would accept such an uneducated disciple. Why would he even bring her along with him? Shouldn’t she first know the basic skills to behave first?
However, while he had a bad impression of Yao Tang, he didn’t bother to look in her direction.
Besides, his relationship with President Tan wasn’t entirely good, given their previous exchange.
It was best to avoid trouble.
After Qin Man heard her sullen words, she took a deep breath, not wanting to waste her breath in front of Master Zhang. Instead, she forced a smile on her face. “Then we’ll head over there first,” she slowly said. “We won’t disturb you.”
She grabbed hold of her daughter’s arm and took her to the economy class section.
What Master Zhang couldn’t see was how fiercely she was pinching Yao Ran’s arm.
Staying in this lousy class was not comfortable at all!
“Didn’t you tell them that we could give them more money?” she demanded as soon as they were seated. “How could they have not agreed?”
Qin Man almost screamed from her grip, but she managed to suppress herself.
“I’m sorry, Mom,” she whispered. “It’s all my fault.”
Qin Man moved her hands away in disgust, not wanting to bother her anymore. This was a small matter that she couldn’t even do properly, and she still wanted to make a name for herself. Could this girl even handle it?
Yao Ran felt tears rushing down her cheeks. She hated her! She hated her so much!
If it wasn’t for her, she wouldn’t have suffered like this.
A few hours passed, and they finally landed at Jing City Airport. Everyone slowly made their way down the exit.
Master Zhang left first because he had something else to do.
Yao Ran, however, had just come out when she saw the butler of the Zhang family waiting at the side.
“Miss Yao, Master Zhang had asked me to wait for you here.”
His housekeeper, Weiwei, bent down with a smile on her face.
She stood at the exit, attracting everyone’s attention.
Yao Ran hid the excitement in her heart. However, she pretended to be reserved, nodding her head. “Of course, thank you.”
Qin Man glanced at the housekeeper, unimpressed. “Did Master Zhang ask you to bring us to his residence?” she inquired. “Let’s go. I’m exhausted.”
Yao Ran was about to pass the luggage over the housekeeper.
However, just as she was about to slide the red suitcase over to her, Weiwei frowned. She took a step back, confused at the pair.
“No, I came to inform you that you’ll be staying at a hotel.” She glanced at their luggage. “Now that you’re here, I’ll be leaving first.”
What?
Weiwei left, not giving them the time to reply.
Yao Ran gritted her teeth. Her master had an empty room, and every time she and her mother would come to Jing City, they’d always stay in that room.
Now, he wouldn’t allow them to stay?
