Chapter 86 Genius Choreographer
Shortly after, a voice call notification flashed on her laptop screen.
Yun Tian sounded very excited. “I have some good news for you! I just gaveCheng Yana huge blow by charging him ten times higher than the going market price of the products they ordered!”
Yao Tang was a little taken aback. That seemed a bit much. A rare look of guilt came over her face. She changed her voice to hide her gender before saying, “In the future,Cheng Yan’s business will be fulfilled according to the current market price.”
“What are you saying?” Yun Tianasked, confused. “Have you sworn off robbing the rich to help the poor? Are you still the same person I know?”!!
Yao Tang rolled her eyes. “Just do as I say,” she said in a flat voice.
Yun Tian was speechless.
His boss was acting a little strange today. He couldn’t help but think that something was wrong. Yao Tang grabbed the towel she had tossed aside. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll be hanging
up.”
That pulled Yun Tianout of his musings. “No, there is, there is! Come on, don’t be so quick to dismiss me. Someone fromCountry Khas posted a request and specifically asked for you to look for that legendary doctor that practices traditional Chinese medicine.”
Yao Tang paused, her brows furrowed. “I don’t accept anonymous orders.”
“Well, all right. Anyway, there are many other prolific experts in Western medicine. I wonder why they keep looking for one who practices Chinese medicine. Is he really that amazing?”
“What now?” Yao Tangsaid slowly. “Are you looking down on the art of Chinese medicine?”
“That’s not it,” Yun Tiansaid, oblivious to the cold edge that had crept into her tone. “I’m just curious why he’s so in demand with all the big shots.”
Yao Tang laughed softly. “Trust me, he’s not that good.”
The next day, at nine o’clock in the morning.
Yao Tang arrived at theBeijing Film and Television Cityat the appointed time.
Sheng Ting’s assistant, Xiao Zhou, was waiting for her at the entrance. Her eyes immediately lit up when she sawYao Tang. “God Yao! Long time no see!”
Yao Tang looked just as pleased to see her.
She looked pointedly at Xiao Zhou’s bulging belly and wasted no time teasing the woman. “You move quickly, huh? I see that you’re already expecting a baby.”
Xiao Zhou blushed and smiled. “I did send you an invitation to my wedding, but you didn’t show up. But that’s okay, sinceSheng Tingtasked me to attend to you today. Let’s get inside first, God Yao. We can catch up as we
go.”
Yao Tang nodded and let her lead the way. “Would you like to know if it’s a boy or a girl?”
Xiao Zhou whirled around, her eyes wide with surprise and anticipation. “Are you really able to tell?”
Even her doctor wasn’t sure of the baby’s gender yet.
Yao Tang didn’t answer. Instead, she took the woman’s hand and held two fingers againstXiao Zhou’s wrist. “Which one do you prefer?”
“Girls,” Xiao Zhouwhispered timidly. “I’d like to dress her up and play with her hair. I’m going to have so much fun with a girl. But a boy is good, too. I just wish the baby will be born healthy.”
Yao Tang was silent for a few beats. When she looked up again, she grinned atXiao Zhou. “It’s
a girl.”
The mother-to-be beamed and giggled as she ran a hand over her belly. There was no mistaking her joy over the news.
It was God Yaowho had granted her a second chance and made this possible.
In the past, before Xia Zhou had gotten married, she had gone for a check-up and discovered that it would be difficult for her to conceive. The doctor had practically called her infertile.
Disappointed, her fiancé at the time had ruthlessly canceled their wedding and dumped her. They had already made preparations at that point, and had even taken wedding photos. And just like that, everything had gone up in smoke.
Later, she had met God Yao, and got herself treated. Now, she had a loving husband and a baby girl on the way.
In truth, Xiao Zhouwas supposed to be on maternity leave. But when she heard thatGod Yaowas coming, she decided to take on the assignment and spend some time with her.
In the distance, Sheng Tingfinally saw them. He approached them, even as he was carefully sizing upYao Tang.
His amazement was evident as he looked her up and down.
“Damn, Boss! If you had entered the entertainment business, you would have definitely turned the whole industry on its head!”
It had been over two years since they had last seen each other.
The girl still had a penchant for black clothing, which only accentuated her pale complexion. After maturing for a couple of years, her delicate face had developed into something of indescribable beauty.
Sheng Ting knewYao Tangas a genius choreographer, who just happened to be drop-dead gorgeous as well. She had started working with him when she was only fourteen years old.
She had a unique style. It was wild and sexy, and most of her movements were explosive, giving more body to whatever music she used.
Needless to say, she made an impressive reputation for herself.
Her choreography had launched Sheng Ting’s career overnight. At the time, his dance videos had flooded all known streaming sites, and his songs had gone to break record sales.
It didn’t take long for other celebrities to catch wind of his secret weapon, and they flocked to Yao Tang seeking various collaborations.
To say that she had become the most sought-out choreographer would be a gross understatement.
She had become as hot as the stars she directed, perhaps even more so.
Everybody had wanted to work with her.
And to think, she wasn’t even fifteen years old back then!
