thanked him, he would have replied, telling her no thanks. However, it was as though he hadn’t heard
anything earlier.

Logan and the rest had already left a long time ago, and John prepared some food for her downstairs.
When he went upstairs again, he placed the food on the bedside table and took a seat at the side

With her head lowered, Sophia took a couple of bites from the food as she looked at him from the

With her heart pounding against her chest, she licked her lips nervously. Seeing how he was acting,
she was starting to doubt if he really hadn’t discovered anything yet. No matter how she looked at it, his
words seemed to be hinting at her.

They walked around a couple of times, but didn’t have any more conversation after that, and John
helped her home when he saw that it was getting late.

While Sophia washed up and then lay in bed, he kept a watch over her by the door and only left after
she was under the blanket and closed her eyes.

When the room turned dark, Sophia opened her eyes again. Something is off about him. He’s acting
really weird.
