Chapter 1780: I Know. I Know that I Have You
“I understand, mom. Don’t worry; I’ll take good care of Pei Ge.”
Ji Ziming smiled as though he was making a promise.
“Alright, I believe you.”
Zhang Manhua nodded in satisfaction and continued, “Alright, it’s getting late. You guys should go upstairs and rest early so that you can be focused on your work tomorrow. Ge Ge is just too nervous, so she’s feeling uneasy.”
“I understand, Mom.”
He nodded and held her hand as they headed upstairs.
“Mom, you have to watch out for the three children. I don’t want them to get hurt.”
There was still a hint of reluctance in Pei Ge’s eyes. No matter what, her child could not leave her side for any reason. It was impossible in the past and even more so now.
“I understand.”
Zhang Manhua smiled. “Quickly go back to your room and rest. I’m here.”
Pei Ge followed Ji Ziming back to the room on the second floor. Just as they entered the room, Ji Ziming, who was holding Pei Ge’s hand, suddenly let go and pressed her to the door. The cold touch on her back made her heart tremble.
“Ziming, you…”
Although she knew what could happen when two people were together, she was still shocked when they were together.
“Ge Ge, don’t be afraid and don’t worry. You still have me.”
Ji Ziming met Pei Ge’s beautiful eyes. His voice was gentle and low, like a spring breeze blowing in the spring. It was neither fast nor slow, and it was warm and touching.
“I know. I know I have you.”
She lowered her head and did not dare to meet his eyes.
“Then why don’t you dare to look at me?”
Ji Ziming’s voice suddenly turned cold as he narrowed his eyes at Pei Ge.
“Ge Ge, why don’t you dare to look at me?”
Ji Ziming repeated again as he looked at Pei Ge with increasingly dazed eyes.
“You… Stay away from me. I’ll be scared if I see you like this.”
Pei Ge’s voice was gentle as she looked at the man in front of her. Her heart trembled and her voice became more nervous.
She knew that nothing good would happen tonight. She knew that Ji Ziming was up to no good. She knew that it would be a sleepless night. Zhang Manhua had told Pei Ge to rest early, yet she ended up sending herself into Ji Ziming’s hands.
“Ge Ge, this isn’t like you. You’re making my heart ache.”
Ji Ziming purposely acted as though he knew nothing. When he saw Pei Ge being pinned against the wall by him, his lips curled up slightly and his deep eyes flashed with surprise.
“Are you leaving or not? If not, I’ll leave.”
Pei Ge did not dare to meet his eyes as she proudly said, “I’m not thinking the same as you. Let me tell you; I’m now…”
Without another word, Ji Ziming picked her up and threw her onto the bed. The bed was soft and because of Pei Ge’s sudden gravity, she could not help but jump up. Before she could do it a second time, Ji Ziming pinned her down.
“You’re my woman. Don’t you know what I’m thinking?”
How could Ji Ziming let go of such a good opportunity? His deep-set eyes were slender and his brows were slightly knitted. He looked at the shy expression of the person beneath him as though it was the first time he had met her.
She could not remember how many times Ji Ziming had tortured her that night. She only remembered that it was already noon when she woke up. She slept naked under the blanket, but there was still a cup of tea on the table beside her.
Pei Ge rubbed her eyes. The sunlight was gently leaving small and big spots of light on her body, and the pattern on the floor was the source. Before she could look further, Ji Ziming had already opened the door and walked in.
“You’re awake.”
The corners of Ji Ziming’s lips curled up. He, who had already had lunch downstairs, had rushed back from the office to settle a lot of things. Coincidentally, the person on the bed had just woken up and was in a good mood. His gaze on Pei Ge became as gentle as water.
“Mhm.”
Pei Ge wanted to move, but she realized that she could not move at all. Not only was her body sore, even her arm was numb.
“Feeling uncomfortable?”
Ji Ziming asked with concern. He did not want to cause her to be unable to get out of bed because of his whim last night. That would be his fault.
“Ji Ziming!”
Pei Ge growled. It was not as if she did not know her body. Forget about not being able to get out of bed today, she might not even be able to get out of bed tomorrow or the day after.
“What’s wrong, darling? You’re shouting so loudly, I’m afraid Mom and Uncle will hear you.”
Ji Ziming laughed evilly as he looked into Pei Ge’s eyes. He walked forward step by step and hugged her tightly. Under the sunlight, the little girl in his arms looked even sweeter and more fragrant than the tea on the bedside table.
“Do you think I’m stupid? This room has the best soundproofing. No matter how I scream, they might not hear it from outside!”
Pei Ge said hatefully. Being hugged by Ji Ziming, she did not struggle or move. She was like an obedient cat, doing everything.
“Go ahead, I’ll listen.”
Ji Ziming curled his lips as his deep eyes got closer. Pei Ge’s face got closer. Just as the two were about to lean against each other, Pei Ge suddenly moved closer to his shoulder and bit him.
“Must you leave a mark on me?”
Ji Ziming frowned and looked at Pei Ge’s exposed back. Her skin was smooth and tender and her arms were exposed to the air.
“Silly, you’ll catch a cold if you continue like this.”
Ji Ziming allowed Pei Ge to continue biting him as his brows relaxed. He reached out to cover her with a blanket and took the cup of tea from the bedside table. Rubbing her head, he said in a tender and loving voice, “Ge Ge, have some tea first. I’ll let you bite me after resting for a while.”
Pei Ge suddenly spoke as tears of grievance filled her beautiful eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
Ji Ziming was shocked. Why did she cry while biting? Who was the one who got bitten?
“You’re bullying me!”
Pei Ge said indignantly as she looked at Ji Ziming holding the cup of tea in one hand and the blanket on her in the other. Her eyes were glistening with tears.
“You’re just bullying me. Other than biting you, I don’t have any strength left.”
“Alright, alright. I understand. I won’t do this again.”
