Chapter 908
Genevieve's mind went blank. She didn't know how to react until Armand called for her the second time. She turned
her head to glance at Armand, then showed him the photo.
Armand's gaze scanned through the entire conversation and the two photos. “It looks like your mom truly is Old Mr.
Zeigler's daughter.”
At that moment, Armand's phone rang.
He had to take the call. It came from the government. Armand asked Genevieve to tell Yuvan about the photos,
then went to a quiet spot to take the call.
Genevieve inhaled a few breaths to calm herself before sending the photos to Yuvan.
A minute later, Yuvan texted her: I've seen my grandpa's album before, but why didn't I see these two photos
inside?

Genevieve answered: These are my mom's photos from when she was younger.
The next second after Genevieve sent out her reply, Yuvan called her. “Are you kidding me right now, Genevieve?”
he asked hesitantly.
“Why would I play a joke on you?” Genevieve sent him a screenshot of the conversation she had with Mrs. Roberts.
“Old Mrs. Roberts was a housekeeper who used to serve my granddad's family. She had never been to Baykeep
before. Why would she have a photo of your aunt?”
In mere seconds, comprehension dawned on Yuvan. “The test results were tampered with.”
I've already asked the person I trusted the most to run the test. I can't believe I was still lied to in the end.
“Armand already sent someone to verify my relation with Old Mr. Zeigler. I'll receive the report latest by tonight.”
Genevieve didn't expect to receive the photos from Mrs. Roberts first.
Genevieve rubbed the spot between her brow and mumbled, “This photo can confirm my mother is not Old Mr.
Quinn's daughter.”
“I'll leave for Jadeborough immediately.” Yuvan said quickly, “Let's talk after we meet.”
After Genevieve ended the call, she toggled back to the conversation history with Mrs. Roberts.

She stared at the photo of the little girl. I can't understand how Granddad's only daughter has turned into Old Mr.
Zeigler's missing daughter. Could it be...
Shortly after, Armand returned to the living room after finishing his call.
“I've sent the photos to Yuvan,” Genevieve informed. “He said he is coming to Jadeborough to meet with me.”
Armand sighed. “He might not be able to come.”
“Huh?” Genevieve gave Armand a confused look. “Did he give you another call earlier?”
Armand stood behind the couch as if he was about to leave the house. “Three days ago, a few people from an area
of Baykeep suffered from severe diarrhea and vomiting and were brought to the hospital for emergency treatment.
However, no one expected the infection would spread from the patients to the medical staff. The infection spread
from the hospital to the general public, and many have contracted the infection, so all the hospitals are filled to the
brim.”
Genevieve bolted upright with a grave expression. “How did that happen?”

“The cases are too recent, so the test results from the first batch of patients haven't come out yet.” Armand
continued, “This kind of virus can spread through droplets. The whole of Baykeep has fallen victim to it. Many of the
patients who couldn't receive treatment from the hospitals have fled from Baykeep overnight. Baykeep has been
under lockdown since eight o'clock this morning. There were many citizens of Baykeep that took the plane and train
last night to Jadeborough. Jadeborough's government was scared of the widespread of such an unknown virus, so
they quickly took measures against the tourists that flocked to Jadeborough.”
Armand leaned down to kiss Genevieve. “My superior called me earlier, asking me to return to work. The doctor will
most probably arrive half an hour later. Don't leave the house with the kids.”
“Okay.” Genevieve wrapped her arms around his neck and returned his kiss. “You be careful.”
After Armand left, Genevieve logged in to Twitter and found that the news about the citizens of Baykeep in the
hospital had trended.
The infected had symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. The hospitals still couldn't identify the cause of the
symptoms, and the effect of general medication was minimal. Doctors didn't want to risk any severe side effects in
their patients by using other medications. Hence, many patients with severe diarrhea were also suffering from
dehydration and acute renal failure, resulting in death. From the first incident until that day, Baykeep had lost more
than a dozen people.
