Chapter 1442 One Of My Many Exes
Charlotte sent a message to Sean five minutes in advance. After Genevieve's car pulled over to the side of the
road, she happened to see Sean driving out in his BMW.
After thanking Genevieve, she opened the door and got out of the car.
The restaurant with a starry night view that Charlotte booked had opened in the mall's dining area about three
months ago. Not only did they serve Epean cuisine, but also Chanaean cuisine as well.
Through the restaurant's decor, one could immerse themselves in a starry view, as though they could see the stars
just by looking up. The experience was truly amazing, and there was a constant stream of diners coming here to
dine every night.
Charlotte had reserved a seat in the morning, and upon arrival, the waiter led her and Sean inside.
The long corridor leading to the dining room was adorned with a starry sky. Despite this, the lighting seemed quite
dim. Charlotte was so engrossed in the oil paintings on the wall that she didn't notice where she was going. She
almost fell when she stumbled, but Sean quickly reached out to steady her.
“Be careful,” Sean said.

Charlotte hummed in response, casually resting her hand on his arm. As they arrived at the table assigned by the
waiter, she was caught off guard by the sight of a familiar face.
In fact, there were two familiar faces instead.
There was a young man and woman seated at the dining table on the left side of the hallway. The woman, eager to
talk to her boyfriend, insisted on sitting right next to him. Both of them were cuddled up in the banquette, looking
sweet and affectionate.
“Try this cherry juice, Jerry.” Lindsay held up the straw to his lips.
Charlotte's eyes went to Lindsay, who wore a knitted sweater and a short wool skirt, her legs resting closely against
Jerry's. It's around minus four or five degrees outside, and you're wearing such little clothing. How are you not
freezing to death?
Whenever Charlotte wore a short skirt, Jerry would get upset and give her the cold shoulder. She would even have
to coax him after that. But it's okay for other women to wear short skirts and snuggle up to him? What a
hypocritical j*rk!
Jerry glanced at Charlotte and Sean, who were approaching them, but his gaze shifted away immediately. He
lowered his head and took a couple of sips of his cherry juice.
Then, he lifted his hand to wipe the fruit juice from the corner of Lindsay's mouth and said, “I prefer the color of

your lipstick today.”
Lindsay blushed immediately after he flirted with her.
This scene made Charlotte feel extremely uncomfortable. Wanting to change her seat, she called over a waiter who
hadn't left yet, but all the available seats had been reserved. It was impossible for her to switch to another table,
even if she offered more money.
As a result, Charlotte could only remain in her seat, forcing herself not to pay attention to the couple across the
hallway. She then chatted with Sean to distract herself.
Sean asked her, “Has your hair grown out yet?”
“It won't be that soon. It'll take at least half a year.” Charlotte knew what he was curious about. “It's too stuffy and
hot to be wearing a hat in the office every day, so I bought a wig to conceal my wound.”
Sean looked at her hair and laughed. “Really? I can't tell at all.”
“I bought this wig made of real hair, it cost me several thousand, and I even had a hair stylist color the wig too,”
said Charlotte. “If anyone can tell it's a wig, I'm going to give the store owner a piece of my mind.”
Sean couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Lindsay had been engrossed in her conversation with Jerry. It wasn't until she faintly heard Charlotte's voice that
she realized the latter had sat across the hallway.
Her thoughts turned to that night at the bar when Charlotte humiliated her. She had never expected that Jerry
would end up breaking up with her in such a short time. Now, it was finally Lindsay's turn to hold her head high and
breathe a sigh of relief.
She said to Charlotte, “Ms. Benson, are you also dining here?”
Noticing that Charlotte didn't hear her, Lindsay called out again. Only then did Charlotte turn her head to glance at
her. “Do we know each other?”
Gritting her teeth, Lindsay reminded her, “We had drinks at the bar that night.”
After acknowledging casually, Charlotte added nonchalantly, “There have been too many people who've shared a
drink with me. I don't have the time to remember their names or faces.”
Seeing Charlotte treat her like a stranger, Lindsay felt even more upset.
Taking Jerry's arm and looking at Charlotte triumphantly, she said, “I told you. You're not a good match for Jerry. I'm
his girlfriend now.”
“Are you showing off to me?” Charlotte found Lindsay's behavior quite amusing.
“I've had plenty of ex-boyfriends, and each of them has a great physique and is good-looking. Only you would
treasure something that others have discarded.”
