This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome Chapter 694 - Beaten to Death

Chapter 694: Beaten to Death

Zhou Sulong was only able to eject the Seven-star Poisonous Centipede thanks to his reflexes being quick enough. Otherwise, Lu Xuan would’ve killed him immediately.
The look on Lu Xuan said that he had almost nailed Zhou Sulong. The latter was infuriated by that look even further as he noted his carelessness.
He thought that Lu Xuan’s powers were far beneath his. As such, everything that Lu Xuan was capable of would’ve been pointless; nothing stood a chance against absolute power.
However, he had forgotten that his powers were not actually absolutely powerful over Lu Xuan’s powers. Otherwise, he would have been able to kill the latter with a single move.
He deeply regretted being so careless, but it was already too late. He felt the toxins spreading throughout his entire body at a frightening rate through his bloodstream.
He shut out the blood vessels of his right arm immediately, preventing more toxins from flowing out. His right arm had been rendered completely useless, yet all the toxins left in his blood continued to fester at an alarming rate.
Blood was seen dripping from the corner of his mouth every now and then.
Damn it, damn it, damn it!
Zhou Sulong howled to himself deep down. He was frustrated by the fact that a native had managed to set him up like that. He saw that as an insult like no other.
His face became even more ashen at that thought.
“No, I can’t linger around any longer.”
At that moment, Zhou Sulong came to a decision. He knew that he couldn’t afford to stay around. If he did, he could’ve easily died right where he stood, being caught off-guard in a place where he was guaranteed to succeed.
He didn’t know who that man before him actually was, but it was apparent that the man was anything but ordinary.
Zhou Sulong felt like tearing apart Lu Xuan where he stood. He uttered, “Once I get outside, you’ll definitely die for sure!”
Nevertheless, he was aware that if they were to keep fighting, he would’ve most likely ended up dead. The more intense the battle became, the faster his blood needed to circulate. If that were to happen, the toxins would’ve simply spread all over his body at an even faster rate. Once such a time came, it would’ve been impossible to save him.
Just as Zhou Sulong was thinking about escaping, he noticed that Lu Xuan seemed to have changed right before his eyes. Despite standing completely still on his own, it felt like he was facing an army of multiple people instead of just one man.
That man had blocked his way.
He could think of only one person who was capable of securely blocking off all escape routes.
It became apparent that Lu Xuan could guess what he would’ve been up to. Right now, he was incapable of finding any possible escape routes.
He was able to see that Lu Xuan was actually just standing around doing nothing, but the might and pressure being exuded by Lu Xuan felt like a barricade of its own, preventing him from escaping.
Lu Xuan coldly glared at Zhou Sulong as he said, “You wanna run?” After performing numerous calculations, he wasn’t about to just let Zhou Sulong get away. That would’ve made all of his previous efforts pointless.
The best and only remedy for being bitten by the Seven-star Poisonous Centipede was to simply go somewhere where one could force out all the toxins. Only by doing so could the poisoned victim have a chance of surviving.
The harder he fought, the quicker he would die.
Lu Xuan casually said, “You won’t be going anywhere today.”
Zhou Sulong calmed himself and steadied the look on his face. A cold, unflinching aura of murderous intent was seen in his eyes. He knew that the current situation was beyond saving, as the man standing across him was definitely not going to let him escape easily.
“If I’m not getting away like this now, I might as well kill you before I go.”
Zhou Sulong became increasingly cold. Having been cornered by Lu Xuan like that, he had no choice but to go all out. If the situation didn’t change soon, he would’ve ended up killed by the toxins if Lu Xuan didn’t manage to kill him first.
He widened his eyes. His aura instantly burst, causing his blood-red attire to billow in the wind.
Blood-colored Spiritual Aether rippled out in all directions. It looked as if a typhoon was blowing around him, forming a terrifying territory around him.
Zhou Sulong shouted, “Soul-crusher Blood Claw!”
He threw a claw at Lu Xuan. The attack tore at the sky as it traveled through the air.
“Heaven and Earth Sleeve!”
Lu Xuan immediately flapped his sleeve. He managed to dispel the incoming claw attack with ease.
Zhou Sulong’s claw attack became less than half as strong as the ones that he threw at Lu Xuan before.
“How is this possible? What kind of spell is this? How could it block my attack?”
He became flustered right away.
Lu Xuan was actually able to block all of his attacks by just flapping his sleeve. To suppress the toxins, Zhou Sulong had been lowering his attack from the seventh tier to the sixth tier.
Despite that, he would’ve still been at the peak of the sixth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm. That meant that he would’ve still been invincible.
Even so, Lu Xuan actually managed to block his attack without breaking a sweat.
“That’s not as powerful as you thought it’d be.”
Lu Xuan came right before Zhou Sulong as soon as he spoke. He clenched his fist and blasted at the man with a Golden Dragon’s Claw, materializing a golden dragon’s arm that went straight for Zhou Sulong’s head.
Zhou Sulong’s reflexes were just as frightening. One could’ve said that he was fully prepared to take on Lu Xuan’s super speed. He then threw a Soul-crusher Blood Claw at Lu Xuan as well.
Boom!
The blood-colored and golden energies collided with each other in a frightening clash before spreading out in all directions.
Pfft!
The winner of the fight emerged right away. Zhou Sulong spat out blood as his body was sent flying away like a kite with its line snapped.
Zhou Sulong continued to spin in midair before he was finally able to steady himself, glowering at Lu Xuan afterward.
“How is this possible?”
He felt as if his left arm, which he used to attack Lu Xuan before, was going numb. That was the first time he realized how terrifying Lu Xuan’s attack was.
Before that, he nonchalantly dismissed the threat of Lu Xuan’s attacks, due to him being of a far higher tier than Lu Xuan.
It was only then that he realized that Lu Xuan’s powers were so terrifying when he fought at the same power found at the sixth tier. Other average cultivators at the sixth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm would’ve most likely been severely injured and crippled where they stood. It wouldn’t have been too far off to say that they might’ve even ended up killed with a single punch.
Lu Xuan would’ve truly been invincible among his peers.
Zhou Sulong initially thought that despite having dropped his level to the sixth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm, his powers should still be at the peak. If that were the case, then he should’ve also been invincible among everyone who was at the same tier.
Only then did he realize just how formidable Lu Xuan could truly be among those at the sixth tier.
Perhaps that wasn’t completely accurate. He suddenly remembered that when calculating his actual level, Lu Xuan was probably only at the fourth tier. If Lu Xuan was truly at the sixth tier, he would have probably been able to kill Zhou Sulong with a single finger.
How could such a terrifying monster exist in the world? This is utter despair!
How was he able to get so far with his training? What kind of physique does he have? What kind of heritage did he come from?
All kinds of thoughts ran in his head for quite some time until he came to realize a terrifying possibility.
At first, he thought that Lu Xuan had blocked off all his escape routes to buy himself time. Naturally, he would’ve died once the toxins in his body overwhelmed him.
Based on the current situation, however, Lu Xuan didn’t seem like he was trying to drag the fight out at all. It seemed more like he was trying to beat Zhou Sulong to death instead.
