Chapter 54: Martial Arts Legends of the Luo Clan
The future world was very much in turmoil as masters from all corners of the world emerged. Even though Lu Xuan had been able to take the initiative better than he had been able to in his past life, he was not 100% sure of things.
Lu Xuan decided that it would have been better to teach his family to be powerful instead of simply being around to protect them. Only with true strength would he be able to ensure that nothing went wrong.
He played with his little sister for one whole day, and Liu Wanrong, who had been at work the whole day, came home in the evening.
“Mom, I found that Guoguo’s constitution is different from other people!” Lu Xuan looked at his mother and said.
“What do you mean her constitution is different? Doesn’t she have two eyes, one nose, and a mouth like everyone else?” Liu Wanrong appeared flustered as his son talked to her about his little sister.
“You know what I’m talking about.”
Lu Xuan continued, “I’m of such constitution myself, and so is Guoguo. I haven’t checked Shanshan out, but I’m guessing she’s of the same constitution. Dad, on the other hand, is a common folk, and it’s very apparent that he’s just normal.”
Liu Wanrong sighed after hearing what Lu Xuan said. “Well, you’re right. The bodies of the two of you have a lot to do with me, but I’m not telling you anything else. Because given your present state, it won’t do you any good telling you too much.”
“I understand.”
Lu Xuan nodded and did not ask any further. He knew very well that his mother had her reasons for doing what she did, and she was definitely doing so to protect them.
There were things that she did not want them to know at the moment, and that she knew that it would not have done them any good knowing such things at the moment.
However, Lu Xuan was not in a hurry. It was only a matter of time before they found out about things in the future anyway.
His family perished early in his past life, which had also taken the secrets of their family to the grave. As such, there was a chance of seeing such secrets unraveled in his current life.
“Oh yeah, I’m planning to leave for a few days tomorrow!” Lu Xuan said, “But I’ve arranged for people to protect you all, so no need to worry. I’ll come back as soon as possible.”
Lu Xuan recalled having eaten that peculiar fruit by accident in his past life, and that fruit unraveled the seal in his body.
He searched for more details about the fruit in his past life, knowing that it was found on the Wuyi mountain in his province.
The fruit then came to Lu Xuan by pure chance after switching hands several times.
That fruit had the mystical effect of cleansing one’s inner constitutional properties, enabling even common bodies of common folks to reach that of geniuses within a short amount of time.
That fruit helped quite a lot of people in his past life, and at the moment, Lu Xuan was determined to take the fruit for himself before anyone else discovered it.
“Well, so long as you know what you’re doing.”
Liu Wanrong looked at her eldest child and felt rather overwhelmed. Her son was all grown up and was no longer that kid who used to cling to her.
Luo Ying was in red attire in a high-class area consisting of villas in Sha City. She stood quietly at the door of a villa.
A car drove inside the villa shortly afterward and stopped. A middle-aged man then walked out of the car.
It was a middle-aged man who was rather well-built and exuded immense confidence walking out of the car.
“Third uncle,” Luo Ying said. The man before her was none other than her third uncle, Luo Yongnian, who was the third brother of the clan leader of the Luo Clan.
The middle-aged man also emanated intense, intimidating might all over.
“Yeah,” Luo Yongnian replied, then walked into the villa with Luo Ying taking the lead.
Luo Ying then handed a pile of files to Luo Yongnian and said, “Other than the information regarding Lu Xuan I faxed back home, there are also some others that I had others gather info on yesterday. It’s all here.”
Luo Yongnian took the files and browsed through them. His eyes glittered with an intimidating sheen when he read the part saying that Lu Xuan was already a level six martial arts legend.
“How could someone so young become a martial arts legend? Any findings regarding his master? Don’t tell me he’s some disciple of some clan no one knows about,” Luo Yongnian said.
He knew that spirit qi was gradually being restored to the world again, and measures that many unknown, hidden clans laid out years ago, were gradually being activated.
As such, he had no problem accepting the fact that they were some young martial arts legends.
Luo Ying shook his head and said, “I can’t find anything in that regard, so much so that I can’t even find any signs of him having training in any arts before. This guy had been a common guy for his entire life!”
“Common guy? Are you telling me a common guy is capable of killing every single master that we hired?” Luo Yongnian was visibly irked by that notion.
“What of his family then? Nothing works best against these *ssoles who do not know their place in the world than taking their families hostage. He would have had to surrender whether or not he likes it.” Luo Yongnian smirked as he said that. Despite being a young martial arts legend, Luo Yongnian still had his ways to take down such people.
“Nothing can be done.”
Luo Ying shook her head and continued, “I’ve sent men to get near his family, but they were quickly repelled. It was obvious that there were others protecting his family, but I had no idea who they are.”
Luo Yongnian frowned hard. If what Luo Ying said was true, then the situation was apparently more dire than he anticipated.
“Seems like we have no choice but to go for the head right away then,” Luo Yongnian said after being silent for quite a while.
“You need to be careful, Third Uncle. From what we have been able to gather, that Chen Jiashang from the Flying Dragon Sect from overseas was a martial arts legend as well, yet he was able to do nothing against Lu Xuan all the same. It would seem that Lu Xuan is probably one of the most powerful among the martial arts legends,” Luo Ying voiced her concerns.
Her third uncle was, too, a martial arts legend.
Furthermore, he was quite a veteran as far as martial arts legends were concerned, and it had a lot to do with the Luo Clan’s immense resources.
When the golden age of Cultivation had just begun, and many had little idea what cultivation even was, there had already been members of the clan who were martial arts legends.
As such, she had only been rather wary about Lu Xuan instead of taking him as a true, serious threat.
From her perspective, the Luo Clan definitely had what it took to kill Luo Xuan so long as they were willing to pay the price.
Compared to the Luo Clan, whose forces and network were spread all over the country, the Chen Clan, which had only been able to call the shots in Southern Min, was hardly worthy of mention at all. The powers of both clans were not even on the same level at all.
The powers of a clan were hardly worth being compared to if they did not have martial arts legends in charge.
“I’ve heard of that Chen Jiashang before. Just some guy who happened to make a breakthrough after eating that peculiar fruit. His foundations are shaky at best, and you think that someone like that could compare to us?”
Luo Yongnian scoffed at the mention of Chen Jiashang, paying no heed to that man.
He felt rather displeased that his niece seemed to have underestimated him as well.
“I’m not underestimating your capabilities, Uncle. Just as a precaution, even if Lu Xuan is not capable of fighting you at all, he will still be capable of posing a great threat to me. Best not take such unnecessary risk,” Luo Ying added.
Luo Yongnian took a look at his niece and said, “You have a point. However, nothing can go wrong this time, and I’m sure of it. I’m not the only one doing this, and our clan also hired two masters from the dark web. They will show up later, and with all three of us teaming up, Lu Xuan will end up dead, even if he is extremely good at fighting.
