Flying with the fastest pace Jason could achieve, he reached the area around the elemental crystal cave only three weeks later.
It was not yet a full moon, but there was not much time left.
He was already close to the spot he had seen in the pictures that had flashed through his mind due to the foretelling ability.
Because of that, Jason was still relatively calm, even more so because his proficiency in the Hermes Celeration movement technique had improved quickly.
It had yet to reach the basic mastery, and Jason knew that he was quite far away from reaching that level.
But that was not important because the speed enhancement he received was already much higher than had been the case with the Floating Sky movement technique.
Because of that, Jason had no reason to complain.
Rather, he felt that he was doing quite fine. Now, the only issue he was currently facing was the question of whether he would be strong enough to defeat someone at the Ascendion stage.
He had never fought someone at the Ascendion stage, but the fact didn't make him nervous.
If he were, to be honest, his enhancements were more than enough to put him on a pedestal, increasing his strength to an extent that was much higher than anyone else could reach.
In fact, when he was still inside the Dungeon of the Primordial Descendant, Jason had been able to procure information about the unique state of his mana.
It required much more mana than one would usually need to liquefy a single drop of mana.
In the end, the answer to this was quite simple.
It was a racial trait that made him require more mana than others for every single advancement after crossing the Mortal stage.
This was quite interesting, but he also got to know that one could imitate this unique trait by using special cultivation techniques.
Jason had come across a few of those special cultivation techniques when he had been looking for the Divine Maestra technique, and the finds he made had been quite interesting.
Astonishingly, there were even techniques that could create high-quality mana drops from the purest essence of transmuted mana.
Through this, one's affinity would become much stronger, which was quite interesting to know. Jason believed that he would meet much stronger opponents in the future that used similar techniques.
Hence, he was hoping to find and practice with some of them.
It might not be something that he would encounter on Manyr, but that was perfectly fine with him.
He still had a long way to go and his path ahead was riddled with tasks he had yet to accomplish.
As such, he calmed down his excitement to fight many opponents with unique cultivation, martial art, movement, and other techniques, while continuing to wait for them in the future.
There was less than one day left before the full moon would shine on the barren lands, turning it into a land filled with brightness for one, single night.
With a calm mind, Jason waited for time to pass, while flying in the sky at a high altitude.
He kept his eyes trained on the landscape below, ready to dive the moment he spotted Jennifer.
He was being restless because he believed that the pictures he had seen thanks to the foretelling blessing showed her injured!
Even though Jennifer's appearance had changed a lot if he recalled the pictures correctly, the injuries she had sustained over the course of time were worsening her situation.
Based on the picture, she appeared to be more refined, beautiful, and full of vigor. Despite that, the exhaustion, and the fear of the unknown seemed to be overwhelming her.
Jason believed that Jennifer was extremely strong, but he didn't know the entire truth of the situation she was in.
In fact, what he knew were just rumors out of which he created his own theory.
As such, he was not sure since how long she had been hiding,? how many beings were truly looking out for her, let alone how strong the beings that wanted to find her truly were.
With that in mind, Jason figured that he would be dragged into Jennifer's mess the moment he helped her.
Yet, that didn't deter him because he already knew it beforehand.
And it was perfectly fine because he would never allow someone he liked to be kidnapped, injured, or possibly even killed, not as long as he was still alive.
He had too many regrets about the past and what he could have done.
Thus, giving his all to protect Jennifer, who was the only person he truly liked on Manyr, was the bare minimum he could do.
Otherwise, what kind of friend would he be?
Thinking about being friends with Jennifer made Jason suddenly feel odd because he was not sure how true that was.
Were they truly friends, or had there been more when they were together?
Jason believed that there had been more to their relationship than friendship, but they had never received a chance to have a talk.
It was always a rather serious topic to talk about one's relationship, even more so as Cultivator.
In the end, their schedule was messed up, and the moment he entered the Chaos Obelisk, it had been over either way.
Three years had passed, and Jason was not even sure how he felt about anything anymore. He just wanted to help Jennifer, because he believed that she was important enough to be saved from severe injury.
Yet, at the same time, Jason clearly felt that he wouldn't sacrifice his life for her because his soulbonds would die with him.
Even if Jennifer was important, his soulbonds were his family, and he would sacrifice himself for their survival if necessary, and possible.
As such, Jason knew that his soulbonds were more important to him than Jennifer.
And even if he would ever like her more than his soulbonds, which was impossible to ever happen because his soul was not connected to them in a literal sense, he didn't know what Jennifer thought about him, to begin with.
With that in mind, he shook his head, averting his attention to properly observe his surroundings.
He was trying to find Jennifer and the beings that pursued her.
His previous uncertainty about the question of whether he was able to defeat beings at the Ascendion stage was washed away as if it had never existed.
This was the case because he sensed unique changes about Artemis.
She seemed to have continued digesting the enhancements the Runic circle of Unlimited enhancements gave her after she had liquefied one million drops of mana.
It would take a few months at the bare minimum until the dome crystal would be solidified, and that was more than fine with Jason.
Rather, Artemis was exceeding his expectations once again because her cultivation speed had further accelerated.
However, that was not only the case with Artemis because his other soulbonds were the same.
Like her, they were accelerating their cultivation speed by fully digesting the enhancement the inheritance of the Dungeon of the Primordial Descendant brought forth!
This made Jason happy because he knew just how mighty the enhancements he had received were.
Knowing that his soulbonds received the same enhancements was something he would never complain about.
Thus, only when he saw slightly familiar energy fluctuations even if they had changed a lot shooting over the barren lands with a rapid speed, did he avert his attention.
Those fluctuations were being followed by more than 10 beings at the Ascendion stage and he shot at them after taking a deep breath.
While looking into the sky for a mere moment, he saw the bright full moon.
Despite the fact that he would join the fray, Jason was unable to stop himself from smiling as he mumbled.
"Artemis, it's time, let's clean up a little mess!"
