After he defeated the fiery puppet, Jason took a deep breath.
He was trying to calm himself by retracting the energies he had used up while fighting.
Following that, Petri and Artemis returned to the soul world while Solaris left his mana core.
As such, Jason was left alone inside the combat arena because the fiery puppet suddenly disintegrated.
At the same time, a new portal manifested further away from the other remaining puppets.
This portal was likely the way to reach the place that would be important for the next trial.
However, instead of moving forward towards the portal, Jason stayed where he was.
He didn't even think about entering it because he felt as if he had to defeat the other four puppets too!
With that in mind, he replenished his used up energy before approaching the next puppet, not wanting to waste more time than truly necessary.
The next puppet Jason chose as his opponent was the Spiral path puppet.
He made this decision based on the fact that he was already well-versed with a majority of attacks it could initiate.
Furthermore, because he possessed a higher physical strength as well as more mana than the Spiral path puppet, Jason's fusion would allow him to defeat the duplicates without too many difficulties.
There might be some tricks that the puppet had saved for the last, but when the battle started, Jason could quickly take out the duplicate that had been summoned by the Spiral path puppet.
Owing to his fusion with Petri, and summoned his scales, tail, and reptilian eyes, Jason won easily.
Afterward, the fight became more interesting because he was able to witness how spirit force was truly used, even if there was no technique to exert it with.
In fact, there were quite a few ways to use spirit force, such as the ability to control other objects, and even living beings.
One could almost say that it was like an innate psychokinesis ability, which was quite interesting considering that Jason had seen such an affinity only a few times in the path of Maest.
And that included beings on Argos, where one had to bind a beast to their body.
Thus, Jason was slowly beginning to understand that the beast on Argos with a psychokinesis affinity, was either a mutation or some unique type of beast that could use psychokinesis with mana!
In the end, mutations and evolutions made almost everything possible, which was intriguing but also extremely scary to witness.
If a single mistake happened, the future of a beast could be destroyed.
With that in mind, Jason felt that he grew excited to use the psychokinesis ability of Spyro.
Once it learned to transmute its spirit force to control other objects by itself, Jason thought he could use it to subdue and overwhelm his opponents easily.
Meanwhile, the Spiral path puppet was struggling very hard to use its psychokinesis ability on Jason.
The protective armor around his entire body in the form of Solaris' flame repelled the puppet's attack, the moment it sensed that the puppet was trying to harm him.
Thus, to counter Solaris' energy-burning flame, one would have to use much more of a particular type of energy in order to do something to his body, and seriously injure him.
Because of that, the Spiral path puppet had to think of a different way to attack him.
Thus, it changed its tactic and began to control the surrounding objects, turning them into an onslaught of attacks as a means to counter Solaris' flames.
The seemingly slow build-up of its attacks turned into a tornado of all kinds of objects that were thrown together to be controlled. When Jason saw this, he couldn't help but feel a little bit flabbergasted.
He was astonished because the amount of spirit force it required in order to attack him was much lower than he assumed.
Thus, even if the spirit force consumption increased with every single object that the puppet controlled, it was not to the extent that it would start bothering the puppet.
Rather, it wanted to add more and more objects to the melee from its surroundings trying to defeat Jason by all means.
Because of its determination, the psychokinesis ability was not everything it used.
Instead, it seemed like it was just a warm-up followed by the real deal.
Wasting no time, the puppet quickly released its aura.
This allowed the already low spirit force consumption to be further decreased, while the puppet's control over the items it moved through the arena increased.
Unfortunately, the storm of flying objects was not the only thing he had to pay attention to.
It wasn't the first time he was being distracted after all. Rather, it was the first thing he noticed, only to recall the distraction in the last fight against the Spiral path puppet before he cultivated for six months.
Clearly recalling what had happened, Jason inserted more mana into his mind, and his eyes were swiftly turned towards the Spiral path puppet. It was already accumulating a tremendous amount of spirit force in the center of its mind when Jason noticed it.
At the same time, it could easily control the surrounding objects, which was one of the fearsome capabilities almost every spiral being had- multitasking.
Their mind was refined to an extreme extent, which Jason had often felt by comparing the difference in the amplifications he received from his other soulbonds and Spyro.
In comparison to his drastic mind refining he underwent on a close to daily basis when Spyro improved its cultivation base, it was fairly low with his other soulbonds.
Thus, Jason was ready to fight the Spiral path puppet head-on.
He saved nothing for later and used his divine energy, the petrification curse, the race specific weakening curse, and the abyssal effect by inserting a large amount of mana to further enhance it.
He had also annexed the chaos attribute that was unleashed when he broke the seals in order to free his Celestia bloodline from some of the restrictions.
Yet, instead of using it, Jason felt that he would require the annexed chaos attributed later, in the future.
With that in mind, he didn't use it, but that was not necessary, either way.
Owing to the high potency his divine energy had, it was enough to distract the Spiral path spirit for a moment.
Thus, it was forced to start over the accumulation process of the spirit force that dispersed in the puppet's body.
In the end, Jason might only be a halfling with a much weaker mana control, who also lacked other unique traits the pureblood Celestias had, but that did not matter.
He had his own advantages, and amongst this was the soul world that allowed him to balance out the shortage of physical strength.
Additionally, his Emperor Eyes were considered to be a trait that belonged to only him, or to be precise, his family he inherited them from.
Enhanced by his soulbonds and bloodline, his Emperor Eyes were improving on a daily basis, and this was clearly visible right now as even the storm of objects was disrupted for a quarter of a second.
This quarter of a second was more than enough for Jason to emerge in front of the spiral path puppet that could barely react in time, preventing Byakur from slashing through its body.
Yet, it was only a moment later that Jason's tail curled around the leg of the Spiral path puppet, Solaris' flames followed suit.
Through this, the Spiral path puppet was bound to be defeated, and it was only a matter of time before the fight was over.
As such, Jason quickly finished the battle with a vibrant smile on his face he mumbled,
"That's easier than I thought! My traits as a halfling are simply…too powerful, I guess!"
