Hearing that he had the chance, the man got so excited that he wanted to get off the bed directly, but the move pulled at his wound, making him cover his chest with a hand. Misery covered his face.
Gu Chaoyan had a look at him and knew that he was still fine. So she said as she continued to write the prescription. “You don’t have to prove yourself so anxiously. Wait until you are cured. I don’t need reckless people as my servants.”
The man gave a dumb smile and laid back to the bed.
Gu Chaoyan was done with the prescription, and passed the paper to Sword One. “Give it to the Dean.”
After Sword One was gone...
Gu Chaoyan took out a white medicine bottle and gave it to that man. “One pill a day, take care.”
Then she left.
As she returned to the west yard, Gu Chaoyan was almost totally exhausted.
She was about to fall asleep, when Sword One got the warm water ready. “Miss, please take a bath.”
Gu Chaoyan nodded and got up.
The bathroom in the west yard was quite shabby. The bathtub used to be a small-sized bucket, but now Sword One got a huge one. So Gu Chaoyan was having a cozy time.
Gu Chaoyan used to bathe alone, but she was too tired to do it herself today. So Gu Chaoyan nodded at Sword One when she offered help. She crouched at the edge of the bath bucket, with her long hair all over her white shoulders.
Sword One was very careful as she was rubbing her back.
“Elder Miss, you have lost a lot of weight.” Sword One said with a concerned tone. When she remembered Elder Miss for the first time, Elder Miss was slightly chubby and nice, but now, only a short time later, she had lost so much weight.
Gu Chaoyan smiled briefly, “Isn’t it nice? I used to be called the Ugly Lady because I was too chubby. But now, I hear the name no longer.”
Sword One agreed.
Those noble ladies in the capital were all very skinny.
Elder Miss was more or less the same as them, but she had seen what Elder Miss was like when she was chubby, so she could not stand losing so much weight at the moment.
“Elder Miss, you are not ugly at all, you are the most beautiful one. If you can remove the red birthmark on the face, you would be even prettier.” Sword One said openly.
Gu Chaoyan felt her cheeks. That birthmake had been there for a long time and it was never gone no matter how much magical water she drank.
“Miss, I did not mean that... you are pretty the way you are now.” Sword One said, thinking that she might have said something wrong.
“It is fine.” Gu Chaoyan withdrew her hands.
She then got up from the water.
Sword One dried her body, and helped her put on her clothes. Gu Chaoyan then fell asleep directly in bed.
The next morning when she got up, Sword One had already packed their things.
Gu Chaoyan ate breakfast and was getting ready to head back to the Gu Mansion.
She said goodbye to Yuanxiang before she left. Yuanxiang was focusing upon medicine throughout the whole day, looking totally concentrated.
She had intended to leave directly, when Gu Chaoyan thought of Xia Yinghan.
Xia Yinghan took good care of her, so she decided to say goodbye to her before she left.
However, Xia Yinghan’s room was closed, and no one answered the door after Sword One knocked at it. It seemed that she was not in. So they left directly.
It was Chen Fu who picked them up.
Chen Fu had his head lowered. Gu Chaoyan found that his face was covered with wounds.
Chen Fu said nothing and just guided her into the Gu Mansion.
“Chaoyan, here you are.” Gu Zhenkang was smiling at Gu Chaoyan with a flattering face. Next to him was Mrs. Gu who was showing total disdain.
