Gu Chaoyan had always kept a very calm expression on her face. Seeing Qing failing at the first attempt, she walked forward and said to the housekeeper with a very soft voice, “I can cure Lin Jiashu.”
The housekeeper was about to spill out the words to turn them down when he got startled.
He did not seem to have been able to accept this sudden news.
“Just go and tell the Old master that the Young Master of the Wang Family was cured by me too. Don’t worry that you will get scolded,” Gu Chaoyan said.
The housekeeper decided to give it a try.
The Lin Family had tried many famous doctors these years. They took in every doctor that came to the doorstep.
So when he heard what Chaoyan said, he told the other minor housekeepers and said, “Stay here, I will tell the Old Master.”
The minor housekeepers nodded. They were no longer looking at Gu Chaoyan’s gang with disdain.

Actually, the reason why she insisted on coming to the Lin Family was not only trying to get the list. Gu Chaoyan could understand this feeling. She bowed and said, “Greetings, Uncle and Aunt.”
“Ha.” The Old Master snorted and said with a long face, “We are just a poor business family who can’t accept your greetings.”
That was how the young Gu Chaoyan replied to them as the Gu Family taught her when the Old Master wanted to get close to her years earlier. The Old Master remembered these words clearly, so he countered her when he heard her greetings.
Mrs. Lin patted Old Master’s hand and said to Gu Chaoyan, “Your uncle has always been childish.”
