What am I feeling right now? Should I be happy or...

Suddenly, the door to my house burst open. Sofia never comes in such a rush. I turned to spot Xander
breathlessly looking at the entrance. He's here to see me at this night time. Did he receive my voice
message?

No one spoke for a minute. His eyes shifted from my face to my phone. " Are you watching my
wedding? The one where I run away?" He asked.

" Yeah, the one where a groom ran away instead of a bride."

" Yeah, that's true. I can't marry her. I thought you gave up on me. But then I received your voice
message at the last minute"

" I'm so sorry, Xander. I walked away from you. But I gave you a lot of missed calls for the past two
days. But you didn't respond to my calls. I thought you moved on," I told him, tossing the phone aside.

" I didn't know you called me, Madison. If I have known it earlier, I would have responded in a minute.
Veronica deleted all the calls I got from you. She even tried to delete the voice message you sent me. I
just caught her with my phone today morning. You asked me to meet you outside the dinner yesterday.
I already missed the day. She did it all," Xander explained.

She's still trying to break us apart but for god's sake, Xander saw my message.

" I can't believe she hasn't changed a little after many years. I can't imagine what would have happened
if you have never seen my message. I thought it's all over," I spoke as I'm close to tears.

" It didn't happen. The wedding's cancelled for good. I'm not worried about my memories anymore. I
want to start a new life. I'm okay with these new memories if you are in it," Xander said, as I ran into his
arms. That's what I wanted to do days ago but I walked away. I will never do that again.



" I'm glad it's over. I know you asked me to move in with you. I will do that, Xander." I said, pressing my
lips to his lips. He didn't speak any more words but kissed me desperately and fiercely.

" Close the door," I muttered as he locked it and questioned me. " Isn't Sofia home yet?"

" No. It may take an hour or so,"

" Oh, we got more time," He pushed me towards the coach without breaking the kiss. His hands
roamed all over my body. It feels like it's been a long time without seeing him.

" What did your parents say about your runaway?" I asked as we lay on the couch with Xander on top
of me.

" Is it important? I can't really think of anything but you," He replied, taking my top off.

" I'm just wondering about it. They are still your parents," I spoke as I got distracted by Xander's hands
on my body.

" We can think about it later. They have to understand me one day. At the time, I will tell them that I'm
going to marry you," He replied and buried his face in my neck.

" I didn't know you are so serious about our wedding?" I managed to say in between moans.

" I'm damn serious about this. Or why would I choose a cake for us? Now, can we postpone the
conversation later?"

" I can't stop being talkative but I will try," I told while I removed his shirt. I ran my hand over his chest
admiring his muscle. Years ago, when I was lying next to him with his shirt off, he just yelled at me and
left the room. The memories come to me but it's not going to happen again.



" You are so beautiful, Madison. I wanted to say that from the day I saw you in the hospital," He lovingly
caressed my check.

" I was a mess that day. I had bloodshot eyes too since the moment I saw you got hit by the car,"

" But I loved the way you looked at me. You looked like I'm everything to you. I wanted to know you
from that day,"

" And now you know me. I know we put the past behind us, but I wanted to tell you one thing. I loved
you for a very long time. For many years."

" Did you?" There's an amusement in his eyes.

" I would have loved you back. Did I?"

" Nope. You didn't. That doesn't matter. But now you love me." I pulled him for another kiss. Suddenly, I
felt some vibration in the coach.

Xander took my phone and kept it down on the floor.

" You didn't see who it is?"

" Yeah, you can attend it later. I don't want anyone to interrupt this moment."

" Neither do I," I kissed him again until our lips are swollen. Then my hands moved down to his pants.

" Are you sure?"

" Yeah, you don't want it?" I frowned.

" Of course, I want it. Why would I even say 'no'? " I relaxed after hearing that. Xander won't remember
it but he's my first kiss and I was his first. I don't know if Veronica was his first which is the last thing I



want to think about. But I want him to be the one and only one in my life.

" Do you have...." I stopped in middle.

" Protection? Yes, I do."

I raised my eyebrow.

" Don't look at me like that. I want to make love to you. I know we can't do it in the hospital with me
having a broken arm. But today's the day, I want everything to be perfect." He told and leaned to kiss
me once again. I didn't dare to start another conversation.

I heard the knocking sound coming from the door. Shiiit...It must be Sofia. I didn't know how many
hours passed but I'm lying with Xander on the coach. We are tangled up since the space is too
contagious.

" Madison? What are you doing? Open the door. Are you okay? I know you are upset with Xander's
wedding. But you don't need to lock you up in the house." She yelled from outside. Oh, god. If I didn't
open up the door, she will tell my life story to all our neighbours.

I grabbed my phone from the floor to see the time. It's almost 11:00 pm. She's way too late than I
expected.

" Xander, wake up," I called him as he was sleeping peacefully. For a minute, I can't stop myself from
admiring his handsome face and his square jawline. At the beginning of the day, all I imagined is
Xander putting a ring on Veronica's finger. Not for a second, I thought we would make love.

" Madison? Are you alright? I'm afraid, now. I will call the police if you don't reply,"



NO, don't do such things. That will embarrass me forever.

" I'm fine, Sofia. Why do you even need to call the police? I will open the door in some minutes. Please
wait," I replied without moving my body from the coach.

" Thank god, you replied. I thought you are trying to end your life,"

" What? I'm not that stupid. Why would I do that?" I spoke louder enough for her to hear.

" because today Xander's wedding. I thought you will do something bad to yourself. I know you miss
him so badly,"

Why would I miss him when he's asleep next to me? I thought to myself.
