He used to hate her Chapter 12

Present-day:

Xander has a hatred look on his face. Maybe he hated me more about I messed up with everyone life
by stalking them. Anyways, I shouldn't care. Even though years have passed by, some part of my heart
still loves it. It's stupid. But I can get over it. I won't be seeing him again at this dinner. Now he knows
that I work here, so he won't come here ever again. Never.

" What do you like to order?" I asked him without a smiling face I have for other customers. Then my
eyes found the women who sat opposite to him. It's not some unknown women, it's Veronica. The girl
who betrayed me while being my close friend. Are they still together? I don't know if she's really true to
him. But if it's true, they can live happily. Who am I to interfere. I moved on and I don't have any anger
left in me to have revenge for what happened in the part.

" Are you working here, Madison? I thought you left the town. Why did you come back?" Veronica
snapped. Even after years, her character doesn't change.

" None of your business. Order now or leave."

" We don't need to eat here, Veronica. Let's go." Xander told her and didn't dare to look at me.

" Well, that works for me but she's not giving respect. Is this how you act to all your customers? I want
to see the owner before we leave." Veronica said, almost got up from the table.

" Not to all the customers. Not everyone is like you, Veronica. You don't deserve respect." I smirked.

" You haven't learned anything in ages, Madison. You know what, I have the power to make you leave
this job or I can even close this whole dinner. Do you wanna watch me do that?" She told. You know
Xander's power. His money. Is that what you mean?

I want to ask it but it may end up in trouble.



" Stop it, Veronica. You are leaving the town today. We can't let anyone ruin this one night we have for
ourselves. Let's have our dinner and leave." Xander advised her. This is the only right thing you did,
Xander. I thought to myself.

" We will take our order," Xander told calmly. I took their order and went inside.

" Is that bitch still here? What happened?" Sofia whispered silently.

" Yeah, nothing serious happened. I just wish they leave soon. I couldn't bear them."

" Can I serve them? You don't have to go if you don't like." She insisted on me. I know she hates him
more.

" It's okay, Sofia. I don't want Sofia to think that I'm afraid to face her." I told her and minutes later, I
returned to serve them. I don't like to start a single conversation with her. Or him.

" Thanks. Keep the juice here and leave. You are so desperate for everything in life. So, don't try to
make a move towards Xander again. And try to mind your business as a waiter." Veronica raised my
temper to the core with her words. I was trying to be polite until she leaves.

I don't know what I was thinking. Instead of replying to something awful, I slipped the glass of juice on
her on purpose. The drink spills all over her top and the glass shattered into many pieces grabbing
every customers attention.

" Oops, not my fault," I simply said, trying not to laugh. Sofia came outside seeing what I did.

" What the hell? What were you thinking? I'm supposed to leave this town in half an hour. You ruined
my business suit." Veronica yelled crazily.

" Are you out of your mind? Call the owner right now," Xander ordered me with anger flashing in his
eyes. Should I? It seems like I have already lost my job.



Before anyone could call anyone, the owner itself came outside ready to scold me for what I have done
and apologize to the bitch.

" Before you could say anything, I'm saying that I will resign," I told him, taking the apron off me.

" What are you doing, Madison?" Sofia ran towards me and I already reached the door and got out of
the dinner. I didn't bother to look at them.

" Why did you do that? This is why I said I will serve them. Our job is more important to us, Madison.
This is going to affect your future. I don't want that for you." Sofia worried as she followed me outside.

" Veronica was testing my patience and I was not in control of myself. I will definitely find another job. I
promise you. You need to go back right now." I told her.

" No. I'm not leaving you in this situation."

" You don't need to comfort me, Sofia. You will lose your job if you didn't go back. You worked hard to
get this job. Please, go back. I'm totally fine. I will be back home in some hours." I tried to convince her.
She looked unsure of what to do.

" I'm sorry for wrecking the only opportunity I have got, Sofia. I really am sorry. Please, don't lose your
job for me. After some alone time, I will be fine." I pleaded.

"If that's what you want, I will go. Get back home as soon as you can. I will see you there." She said
with a frown and left. I started walking without knowing the destination and I have no idea what time it is
now. Finally, I sat on a chair near the bus stand. I'm feeling a little better after an alone time.

" We will meet again soon. Have a nice journey." I heard a voice near me. Oh, no. Not them again. Why
god has to bring him back to my sight again and again.



Xander hugged and kissed Veronica in the street. He tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled at her.
I noticed she has changed her dress. Then Veronica got inside a car. She waved at him as the car left.
He looked in the car direction for a minute and attended a call.

I shouldn't watch them. Xander's gonna be in this town. It might be hard to avoid seeing him. I don't
know what Iam going to do. I would have been happy if Henry was here. But whatever I want is not
going to happen.

I stood up and was about to walk away before he finds me. I just looked at him one last time. He's
never mine and never will be. I just know one thing, If veronica doesn't involve in my life and never told
him many lies about me and made him hate me, something would have worked out between us.

I signed and looked at him as he was seriously talking with someone on the phone. He looked so good
in a black suit. I thought and I was about to turn away. But suddenly a bright light flashed in my eyes. A
car's approaching right in his direction without control. Oh, my fucking god.

" Xander," I shouted his name in fear but I was too late. Before he could turn, the car hit him. My hands
automatically closed my eyes as I started shaking vigorously. My whole body was trembling with fear.

No. No. No. I never ever wanted this to happen to him.
