Chapter 89: Yangyang Would Definitely Stay Now
The doctor sighed and said softly, “Alright. Young ladies now are really too timid. How can you be scared of an injection?”
Mu Siyin retorted back, “I was born this way.”
Everyone was speechless to hear this.
Mu Siyin was burning so much and weak. This left Ji Yang no choice but to admit Mu Siyin into the hospital and bring her friend to her ward.
“Lie down first, Yinyin. I’ll get you a cup of water so you can take your pills now. Have a good rest. Then, you won’t feel so terrible the next morning.”
Mu Siyin nodded her head. “Okay. Thank you, Yangyang.”
“Don’t be so courteous around me. Give me a second. I’ll be back in a moment.”
“Okay.”
After Ji Yang left, Mu Siyin blearily grabbed the two pills on top of the cabinet and stuffed them into her pocket. She had no idea what those medicines were for.
It did not take long for Ji Yang to return with some water.
“Come, Yinyin. Quickly eat your medicine.”
Mu Siyin really felt horrible at the moment. All she wanted to do was to take her pills and have a good rest.
“Will you leave at night, Yangyang?”
Ji Yang looked at her speechlessly. “How can I leave when you’re like that? Just take some good rest. I’ll crash on the couch tonight.”
Mu Siyin felt relieved to hear this.
She nodded her head and acknowledged Ji Yang before she drifted into a deep sleep.
Ji Yang thought that Mu Siyin would get better the next day after a good night’s sleep. However, when she saw Mu Siyin struggling to open her eyes the next morning, she immediately took Mu Siyin’s body temperature with a thermometer and realized that she was still burning up.
In that instant, she grew extremely anxious.
How could this be?
Mu Siyin’s mouth felt so dry that she would die from dehydration at any moment.
The pills she hid yesterday must have been fever reducers. Why else would she be feeling so dehydrated? The fever must have burned all the fluid out of her!
“Water, Yangyang… I feel terrible…”
“Wait a second, Yinyin. Let me call a doctor.”
Upon saying so, Ji Yang quickly spun around and sprinted out of the ward.
Mu Siyin laid lifelessly on the hospital bed and thought to herself, ‘Yangyang will definitely stay now.’
The doctor came to her ward shortly after.
Despite that, he was shocked to see how bad Mu Siyin’s fever had progressed. “How can this be? Did she eat the medicine I gave her yesterday?”
Ji Yang immediately nodded her head. “She did. She ate them after she was assigned to this ward.”
The doctor was very doubtful. “Show me the pills.”
Mu Siyin’s heart dropped. Was she caught red-handed?
Ji Yang hurriedly showed the doctor all the pills. As he went through the medicine, the doctor said with a frown, “None of the pills here consists of the fever reducers and the anti-inflammation medicine that I have prescribed.”
Ji Yang freaked when she heard this. “How is that possible? These were given to us by the pharmacy.”
The doctor took a deep breath. “We’ll talk about what went wrong later. Right now, I need to prescribe her some medicine and put her on drip immediately. Her fever is too high.”
“Yes, noted!”
Mu Siyin wanted to kill herself. It seemed like it was either an injection or a drip, and now, she hated herself for not taking the pills yesterday.
The nurse arrived after a while, and Mu Siyin looked on her fate bitterly. “Yangyang…”
“You need a drip now, Yinyin. Just put up with it for a bit. It’s not going to hurt.”
What else could Mu Siyin say?
The nurse already had Mu Siyin’s wrist gripped tightly in her hands.
“Ahh!”
As the sharp needle pierced into her veins, an immense fear immediately hit Mu Siyin.
It instantly brought back the feeling of the razor-sharp blade cutting through her chest in her past life…
